The Sacred Heart of Jesus Calls Out to You

“Fear not,
I am the one who helps you.”

Jesus knows and judges us by our hearts.  Therefore; Valentine’s day should be a day for “all to reflect” upon what it is we are investing our hearts into, and that by doing this we are able to allow a positive affirmation or resolution on this special day, to make correction and improvement in what our hearts are drawn to or truly invested in.  “To be right with the Lord our hearts must be right.

We are all fallen and in this extremely imperfect state, so it is virtually impossible for one person to fulfill another enough to give him or her any lasting peace and tranquility.  Romantic love is a failed proposition from the outset, setting one up for disappointment and heartache.

To you who say that Jesus is the answer to all of our needs regarding love.  Whether it’s in regard to family, friends or desired earthly romance, I agree and add that there can only be one ultimate truth in all matters of the heart.   You’re on target with this:  “Jesus Christ is where you will find what you are looking for, by true love and faith in Him.” That’s the only source of true love and peace, but yet we all go through the motions here in our contrived fabricated man-made world of pretending.  There is no panacea and definitely no utopian level of earthly love between two humans.  WE SETTLE!  We all do that, deciding that, it’s better to grab and hold onto someone and hack it out, taking the good, the bad, and the ugly for better or worse, because the alternative of being alone seeming so much worse, and is shuddered by most as an unbearable place to be for the rest of your life.  But, we tend to sellout for this quick fix, in this very short-life,  when the eternal plan should be our total focus  Even though, Jesus promised that He walks with us holding our right hand, and that believing in Him we are never alone, therefore, which is giving us the greatest sense of security obtainable in this brief conflicting life.  After all, we are here to decide which we will choose, to walk with Him to Everlasting Life and Salvation, or to turn away from Him to be mesmerized by this world full of trickery, sin, corruption, lies, hate, misery, pain, suffering and all manner of evils; thus in so doing; forfeiting our Redemption and true everlasting sanctity with God.

13 For I, the Lord your God,
hold your right hand;
it is I who say to you, “Fear not,
I am the one who helps you.”
  Isaiah 41

Love is not sex and sex is not love.

Here is something I had to incorporate into this Valentine message from my responding to a preacher’s message.

While I was writing a Valentine message your article came to my attention which is directly related to all of my thoughts about these human earthly celebrations and the earthly false notion of love or its true expression.  What you said about sex wrongly being entwined and mistakenly interpreted as love in the hearts and minds of many; to which I say is a great falsehood that is being perpetuated by pagan commercialization of, a spiritual matter between God, His children and each other, as I see it being manifested in cultures, art, film and just about anywhere money can be made by exploiting people.

This is profoundly true, what you said.  But, I also say this is a symptom and indeed a large portion of the bigger problem we as humans are all facing each and every day we live on this earth, being subjected to the ways of the world which are crooked, fallen from grace and all holiness.  The commercialization and pagan secular promotion of what constitutes a truly loving heart is far from being anything like the love that Jesus spoke about and still does in the Holy Scriptures and through the Holy Spirit.  A Box of Roses and even close intimacies, sexual or otherwise don’t signify the presence of pure love, but are many times mostly vain attempts to convince someone of something intangible in human earthly terms as being real, when in fact it’s all become a game of pretend, fakery, delusion or smoke and mirrors if you will; while big business is making a fortune off the foolhardiness, vulnerabilities and weaknesses of people.  But, it is a symptom and indeed a large portion of the bigger problem we as humans are all facing each and every day we live on this earth, being subjected to “the ways of the world” which are crooked, fallen from grace and all holiness.  In essence a continual brainwashing by the man-made world, a world where opportunity runs rampant for the father of all lies to deceive, captivate and lead astray, to cause the lost sheep of the flock to fall into the clutches of, sin, despair and suffering!

Secularism and materialistic living abound and draw upon most if not all people at some point in their lives like the proverbial moth to the bright artificial light.  It’s  been said,  “all that glitters is not gold;” people being often times weak, vain and petty sink to the lowest common denominator of living in this world for only the here and now which would be to serve self and obtain pleasure, whether it be addiction to drugs and alcohol or sex, along with a host of other temptations to escape reality and turn away from God,  that the Devil uses to ensnare God’s children and draw them away from the “true light of the world,” the Creator, our Father in heaven, and instead to that fool’s gold that which glitters but has no Divine truth or lasting reward and instead brings those that follow it to doom, just like the moth into the heat of the bright light being lured continually closer to the flame that consumes it, eventually bringing it to ruin and death.  But, as children of God created in His image this death is not just of our physical bodies that wreaking with sin or imperfection; but more importantly it’s a spiritual death.

The Holy Scriptures tell us in Matthew 7:

7“Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.

6“Don’t waste what is holy on people who are unholy.7 Don’t throw your pearls to pigs! They will trample the pearls, then turn and attack you.

1“Do not judge others, and you will not be judged. 2 For you will be treated as you treat others. The standard you use in judging is the standard by which you will be judged.

3“And why worry about a speck in your friend’s eye when you have a log in your own? 4 How can you think of saying to your friend, ‘Let me help you get rid of that speck in your eye,’ when you can’t see past the log in your own eye? 5 Hypocrite! First get rid of the log in your own eye; then you will see well enough to deal with the speck in your friend’s eye.”

9“You parents—if your children ask for a loaf of bread, do you give them a stone instead? 10 Or if they ask for a fish, do you give them a snake? Of course not! 11 So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him.”

12“Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you. This is the essence of all that is taught in the law and the prophets”.

21“Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter. 22 On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord! Lord! We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.’ 23 But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.”

24“Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. 25 Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won’t collapse because it is built on bedrock. 26 But anyone who hears my teaching and doesn’t obey it is foolish, like a person who builds a house on sand. 27 When the rains and floods come and the winds beat against that house, it will collapse with a mighty crash.”

28 “When Jesus had finished saying these things, the crowds were amazed at his teaching, 29 for he taught with real authority—quite unlike their teachers of religious law.”

Jesus communicates with us in many ways — through prayer, through the Scriptures, and through images.

Jesus promises all who devote themselves to His Sacred Heart” that they will receive many graces, especially:

  • 1

I will give them all the graces necessary for their state of life.

  • 2

“I will give peace in their families.

  • 3

“I will console them in all their troubles.

  • 4

I will be their refuge in life and especially in death.

  • 5

I will abundantly bless all their undertakings.

  • 6

Sinners shall find in my Heart the source and infinite ocean of mercy.

  • 7

Tepid souls shall become fervent.

  • 8

Fervent souls shall rise speedily to great perfection.

  • 9

I will bless those places wherein the image of My Sacred Heart shall be exposed and venerated.

  • 10

I will give to priests the power to touch the most hardened hearts.

  • 11

Persons who propagate this devotion shall have their names eternally written in my Heart.

  • 12

In the excess of the mercy of my Heart, I promise you that my all powerful love will grant to all those who will receive Communion on the First Fridays, for nine consecutive months, the grace of final repentance: they will not die in my displeasure, nor without receiving the sacraments; and my Heart will be their secure refuge in that last hour.

🙏 ❤ This is what all heart’s desire; to be filled with everlasting peace and love, yet all men are incapable of providing such to anyone, not even one’s self.  Therefore, seek the eternal through God the Creator; who is all absolute love and peace!

“If I find in myself desires which nothing in this world can satisfy, the only logical explanation is that I was made for another world.” ― C.S. Lewis, Mere Christianity

“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.  In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6 ❤ 🙏

It’s getting more obvious to me as I’m sure you as we grow older that we all come up short changed or even broke if we depend on mere temporary earthly contentment’s or pleasures to fill us; virtually an impossible fool’s errand.  But, with a caveat I say we should always try to make the best of what we have and be eternally grateful just for that, indeed our next breath is a miraculous gift; and then seek Him the Divine and Everlasting to satisfy our every dream and need in His kingdom to come!  I’m sure I’ll see you there as long as I keep trying my best, that’s all He expects of any of us!  Amen.

    1. Thank you very much Brother in Christ Jesus. I agree and say that anyone alive if they desire to know God the Father and Creator of all that is seen and unseen they only need ask Him to come into their hearts and they will get to know Him and trust in Him our Lord God in Jesus Christ. Keep up the good work and God Bless You and Yours.
Also, I have grown in my better appreciation and love of our Heavenly Father over many years of making my own mistakes and thinking I knew enough at times to do my own thing, but I was wrong and He is eternally merciful as his judgment is perfect and great but His mercy is greater; and He is seeking to save the lost lambs, which makes me cry! Amen.

      1. Mmmh very true…anyone who takes the position the prodigal son took when coming back to the father will surely find mercy…God bless you sir…quite uplifting.

      2. Thank you Harryson, yes sir His mercy is greater than His judgment; I was taught that by a theologian many years ago and then experienced it! God bless you and you are uplifting as well, very truthful words here.

  2. Some further food for thought from a comment i had just made to another bloggers blog about feeling unsure or bored with daily life.
Katherine, I think we all get melancholy or feel a sense of drudgery in our sometimes overly mechanical, “going through the motions” and routines of just living a plain temporary physical life! Like the old adage of, “getting from point A to point B!” But, therein lays the crux of the matter or question my dear Friend, what is truly our destination? Is it to merely continue on living like a gerbil on the running wheel or as mice through a maze! Or are we looking deeper into the heart of our simple existence here on earth to see the profound reality that much, much more is going on than meets the eye! The Holy Scriptures say “Seek” and you will find, (7 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. Matthew 7:7-12), and I’ve learned though time and some very painful experiences that at times in my life I got too sure of myself, basically allowing myself to get lost in my own delusions of contemporaneous material fulfillment’s, only to find myself on the other side of that process as being more empty and unfulfilled than when I began on my escapade or journey into “going it alone.” I know now that until any of us actually awaken to the fact that the Almighty made all this possible to begin with and that we are simply here to fulfill His plan, we can go off in a ninety-nine different directions and never find one that brings any lastly or substantive meaning, purpose and enlightenment; like being on a “fool’s errand” if you will, and therefore in seeking we must seek the “Divine and Unseen” in order to elevate our own petty fractional lives of great need above the fray and into the light of real understanding. Think and meditate on what I say and then let me know if I touch a nerve or stir an emotion in your heart.
    Blessings and peace to you.

  3. A comment I had just sent to a blogging friend that must be shared here as it dovetails!
So often we humans think this life is our own to just do what we please and it’s all about our plan or designs! But, when we are truly honest with ourselves and face reality or the ultimate truth, we become aware that we have nothing; no control or self-produced plan that would amount to a hill of beans, because it will all be dust in the wind when all is said and done. The sooner we can awaken to that truth, and see that we are really lost and without purpose unless we have our Creator fully embraced in our hearts allowing Him to show us what He has planned, the better off we will be, along with those around us; so we can serve His will and make our lives a precious gift and instrument of His glory and love! We really aren’t here for anything other than to Love and Serve God our Father in Heaven through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior through Whom all things are made possible and Who brings us closer to Him each moment we can abide in that truth! Amen
I’m Glad what the response was to this so I add the following additional comment.
Take that food (for thought) and digest it over time through genuine prayer and full commitment to our Lord and His purposes; then you will see all He wants you to see allowing Him to guide you through your life! Thanks be to God!
Side note, I was thinking and praying about sending out a best message of concern and I see the pieces or dots connected, telling me once again, God had it covered 100% just by how perfectly things unfolded! Not to worry, when he is our Pilot. Amen
