Zero Lift-Off Only The Beginning
First Beatle to top the Hot 100
“Though George Harrison (1943-2001) may not have been the most-popular Beatle, it was “My Sweet Lord” which became the first solo track any of them came out with which actually topped the Billboard Hot 100. Indeed this is the most-successful song George Harrison ever released as a soloist and the best-seller of any of the former Beatles during the 1970’s.
Indeed even outside of the United States, “My Sweet Lord” proved to be a mega hit, topping the charts in these countries:
• Australia
• Austria
• Belgium
• Canada
• Ireland
• The Netherlands
• New Zealand
• Norway
• Spain
• Sweden
• Switzerland
• United Kingdom
Release Date of “My Sweet Lord”
“My Sweet Lord” was released by Apple Records on 27 November 1970. It was the lead single from George Harrison’s third album, “All Things Must Pass.”

God allowed him to leave here sooner than many would have wanted because God had better plans for him! Let it Be, he ended on the right note I say! Pointing out what God wanted not George or the world!
To me his Passing when he did and how he did says he had a worthy drive and desire to seek and know the Lord, but, he wasn’t truly specific enough, so was catering to the ways of the world like any of us do from time to time in our lives, not always serving the Master! And that is the duality or dichotomy of man; torn between placing one’s life truly in the hands of God and serving “His will” or wanting to submit to his own will and find whatever earthly success he can which is the wrong path and a dead end for sure! We can take a slippery slope into the clutches of the Evil one or we can climb our designated by God, “stairway to heaven.”
As I see the truth in this there is only one way to really try “living;” and that is to submit our lives totally to Jesus Christ, and in so doing “our life is truly a life lived for God and His divine plan” for any one of us that will put Him above all things! As only He knows what is best for each one of us, He being the Creator and our Maker! His love is beyond comprehension, but, we only need “Jesus Christ” to lead the way in order to truly live and become a member in God’s eternal family in paradise! Amen.
“How great is our Lord! His power is absolute! His understanding is beyond comprehension!” Psalm 147:5
“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:23
“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28. 🙏
God bless you and yours!
“Happy Thanksgiving!”

An added thought came to mind now! Something I said to another online Lady a while ago and I think it is very symbolic as well, probably my favorite operatic play of its type, which I quoted with my thought at the time!
Do you know what those humming birds are? Survivors! So delicate and precious but yet they travel even tens of thousands of miles through all the storms and terrains full of dangers in all temperatures always on the edge of catastrophe even they manage to Survive reaching their destination where they can bask in the sunshine with the music of all the other bird species singing their happy tunes and the hummingbirds find all the nectar they need to live day after day! To me it’s like Man of La Mancha – The Impossible Dream singing the impossible dream; to dream that impossible dream to fight the unbeatable foe to fight with your last ounce of courage! This was what I am to tell you and in these words the message is contained!
“To dream the impossible dream
To fight the unbeatable foe
To bear with unbearable sorrow
To run where the brave dare not go
To right the unrightable wrong
To love pure and chaste from afar
To try when your arms are too weary
To reach the unreachable star
This is my quest to follow that star
No matter how hopeless, no matter how far
To fight for the right without question or pause
To be willing to march into Hell for a heavenly cause
And I know if I’ll only be true to this glorious quest
That my heart will lie peaceful and calm when I’m laid to my rest
And the world will be better for this
That one man, scorned and covered with scars
Still strove with his last ounce of courage
To reach the unreachable star
This is my quest to follow that star
No matter how hopeless, no matter how far
To fight for the right without question or pause
To be willing to march into Hell for a heavenly cause
And I know if I’ll only be true to this glorious quest
That my heart will lie peaceful and calm when I’m laid to my rest
And the world will be better for this
That one man, scorned and covered with scars
Still strove with his last ounce of courage
To reach the unreachable star” 🙂🌻 ❤️ ✝️ 🙏 🌟✨💫
Interesting footnote! You got this to be my One Thousandth One Posting!
And yes the Spirit of our Lord spoke to me and this is the verse He wanted me to reflect upon here; at this juncture!
“9The LORD has driven out great and powerful nations before you, and to this day no one can stand against you. 10 One of you can put a thousand to flight, because the LORD your God fights for you, just as He promised. 11Therefore watch yourselves carefully, that you love the LORD your God.” Joshua 23:10
I’m that extra one! Yup, the odd ball…

You’re so kind and sweet my Sister Dawn! When I was much younger and not even so many years ago I thought I wanted to be somebody and that concept was tailored according to the world’s measure; not unlike how too many people especially on this tool the internet market or sell themselves to the world for vain purposes. I’m blessed that I awoke to the Truth!
In that vein I’m really nothing, especially when I understand what would I or can I be if not for God and the “Salvation” Jesus Christ provides; because without that Truth I would ultimately be nothing more than dirt! So anything that is good that comes out of me into this world, anything I can offer that has divine purpose which is all that matters; that which comes from God and His glorious purposes! I truly see that the absolute best thing for me to be is a footstool of God’s; a hopefully faithful servant when all is said and done!
God bless!
