They are Antichrist and filled with hate from Satan, who is controlling them now! They wanted “absolute control and power” more than anything, so the Devil gave it to them in exchange for their souls; and now they became so gloated with that Insane “singularity of purpose” that yes; they indeed became “possessed!”
Look at any of those “mean and ugly” people at the top, and all you see is “out of control selfishness and absolute abhorrent lies on top of lies,” which they have become; as “a group of people that serve The father of All Lies,” the Devil!
This Nation under God, these “United States of America” is “The Crown Jewel” which Satan has wanted to possess and control on earth; because why else?
Since the “Founding Fathers those Geniuses” formed this “One Nation under God” the Evil One has considered how he could take control of it and bring ruin to something that began with “a call to arms” that “the enemy was coming” when Paul Revere made that historic ride on horseback shouting to the citizens of this “New Nation” in its infancy, “the British are Coming.”
Ever since “The Bill of Rights and the Constitution” were drafted that monster has poked and prodded now and again, “trying to create conflict within” with “all kinds of disruption, dissent, jealousy and hatred to tear it all up!”
In this present time there is one surefire means at his disposal to do just that; not only to bring down America but the entire world with the granddaddy of them all “WWIII through Communist China” which is demonically controlled! Do you see or read in the news where that polar opposite to America atheist CCP has complete control of that nation, which now even opened a so called police department in New York City! What the hell is that Commie Controlled Evil Nation guilty of Genocide and “Crimes Against Humanity” doing with any police or military presence in our “Nation under God,” let alone to now be “interfering with our elections” via third party foreign contractors! Yea, that is true; they are more than influence peddling, but, are now embedded in our American System for decades in the making, while buying up prime land all over the place along with that globalist psychopath Bill Gates! “The takeover began in earnest now” and those Commies are not the British, they are much worse than any Red Coats were back in 1776 by exponential factors, in that they are possessed by Satan! They are part and parcel 100% Snake, derived from that “serpentine creature or fallen angel Lucifer,” who has not only entered the house, but, already has its coils wrapped around the hearts and souls of many key individuals throughout the US Political Power Structure of the Legislature, Big Tech Digital Media and the Military!

I prefer to think you’re the one in the greater state of grace being truly inspired, but, I’m a hit or miss sort who wants to do better for God and do at times and then I allow the bad that has happened, to gain my attention and distort my feelings or clarity. I mostly let anger get a grip and my blood boils, but, never to actually strike out at all, just only hurting myself with stress and worry which the Devil loves any of us to do. It’s best to look at it like my father always told me, “they can do anything to this body and even destroy it, but my soul belongs to God!” That sums it up as to being strong in one’s faith not letting anything come between us and God through our faith in Jesus Christ! We just need to do the work and commit daily, religiously and even a regimental practice keeping our asses in alignment with His will.

What I admit here is I’m a very passionate and compassionate man, but, by the hand of the dirty crooked world I was damaged and because of that have some residual anxiety, which we all actually have honestly speaking if you’re a human being with a real conscience and feelings in these insane times, how could we not be stressed, sad and worried with all of what is happening in the world and even in our own backyards, it will surely take away your ease or true peace of mind. So, besides having to survive day to day with the work and toil of the living, we now are faced with this added stress factor which is real and people can choose to ignore it or numb it, and the final option which I utilize is turn it over to the Lord with genuine humility allowing Him to manage it or even heal it giving inner strength to any who follow Him, to carry their own cross, and, this is indeed part of doing that which is mandatory in today’s Helter-Skelter Mad-cap World!
I used to care what people think about me or want them to like me, but, that is so much vanity and is foolish to me now, I only need Jesus Christ, I have no one else anyway really, none of us do, because, we all face our own death with only ourselves in that moment of leaving this life, I know that, and this world means nothing to me. I think I can safely say that I know what martyrdom tastes like up close and personal, it’s hard, but, Jesus is there to help.
“There are many who call me the Devil himself!” Mind you this is a person in a government agency with a big responsibility to the public and all of the personnel that worked in that location; and this blatant arrogant vile statement was beyond the “Emperor having no cloths,” but, was telling me clearly this man was either demonically influenced with a network of the same within this overall organization to be so flippant and brash, or he was actually possessed! He was even witnessed as saying he blames God for everything. Me, the happy go lucky nice big brother to anyone was put in this predicament for a good reason, just like my Dad always said, there is a reason for everything! My priest friend now, knows all of these things and not even family know the half of it, nor have time for it. Some people don’t care out of selfishness and being somewhat weak, not having a strong enough faith that they practice. I’m telling anyone who reads this I do it only for one reason, because, we are in the End Time and you better get your ass in gear to prepare your own souls for judgment; I know this is part of my duty to say this, and, I do hope in my heart I’m helping someone out there.
I had a few ladies lately speak about Catholics and how they being in other churches see this all as too much pomp or tradition and ritual! I say this today to anyone that will listen. Don’t you see how conflicted and sick humans are and how much sin they possess? Do you really think you can skate though life and be devoid of making huge mistakes in your faith for Jesus? I see the regimented doctrinal practice of faith as an only tool that keeps people on the straight and narrow, because, what did Jesus say!”

Thank you so much for having the interest in Penny and sending out all of the good thoughts you do! Yes, she was a very confused panic stricken animal when I came along, that was about to have her life taken away by a too busy not always caring world, but God gave her a chance by allowing me and Penny to act as a message of “Salvation and Hope” when God brought us together, so in time that example would be observed or even duplicated through the hearts and minds of others that hear about her story! God gave me a chance to serve as an instrument to that end appreciating life and every little blessing even more this example of Penny, because having her as a friend has actually changed me for the better too! God’s power and infinite love is at work all around us and that is where our attention should be focused as much as we possibly can.

I agree with Marge. I’m Mexican and I see an out of control invasion that will affect this country and the ones they left. Who is going to rebuild those countries if most of their youth are leaving? Child trafficking and women being abused are major problems, along with drugs and gang criminals brought by more criminals! Most Christians don’t oppose charity. The Church gets money from the Federal government to do this! But it is at the expense of our children’ s future! Junipero Sierra did it right. Why don’t our current missionary priests go and teach these poor people how to work their land? Many lay people would help as well. An example is the Goat project in Haiti.

But, what, then, are the “errors of Russia” as they were developing at the time of the Bolshevik-Russian Revolution shortly after the Fatima apparitions? It would seem that they include, among other things, the following list of characteristics:
1. A reductively atheistic materialist world-view which aims at undermining anything Christian in society;
2. An ideology that is disconnected from Truth and reality;
3. A cultural Marxism that later permeated also the West with the help of the Frankfurt School and Antonio Gramsci’s ideas;
4. A revolutionary socialistic spirit that undermines especially major aspects of family life – especially with the help of feminism, divorce and abortion;
5. A Hegelian dialectic philosophy, along with dialectic materialism, which claims that strife and ongoing contention in society are necessary in order to bring about higher and unfolding forms of life; such an approach essentially denies and purportedly transcends the principle or law of non-contradiction.
6. A form of governing “revolutionary socialism” that is also constitutionally called “Democratic Centralism,” the latter formulation meaning that things have the appearance of being openly democratic, yet they are all centrally organized and managed in the background (Dr. Robert Hickson recently applied this principle to the current situation in the Church – especially with regard to the Family Synods – here);
7. A disregard for tradition and for the traditional institutions of society (or now of the Church, such as the Curia?) as “counter-revolutionary forces”;
8. A deceitful misuse of language with the intent to manipulate the public;
9. A method of branding one’s own opponents with sweeping and demeaning epithets that abstractly categorize them as “right-wing” or “counter-revolutionary” [and what about the most-common term in use among the left: “fascist”?];
10. An approach to ongoing revolutionary changes where there is both “a slow path” and “a fast path” of the Revolution; such is “the Dialectic” and the “dialectical process”;
11. Toward more moderate and compromising opponents, one first tries to incorporate them into the professed new system so as to use them as Lenin’s “useful idiots” in the sense that they help give to the world the illusory idea that nothing has really changed;
12. As a last element – but of course a very important and painful one for those who lived under Communism – there is a constant sense of distrust and fear, unto the imprisonment and killing of one’s intransigent opponents.

“People have been so brainwashed, deceived and yes wicked to do all this blasphemy to God! Worldwide since Roe/Wade 1.5 Billion lives have been destroyed willfully while here in America alone it’s now at 63 Million abortions! That is so unreal to me I get freaked out to be honest thinking of all those precious so innocent human lives being butchered, murdered out of selfishness, arrogance and horrible sin; which is definitely antichrist.
Oh we are in a “prophecy time now” like no other in all of human history and many things are being brought to a head for Good Reason, because God Himself is making sure there is no mistake about it in the hearts and minds all people; that the hour is fast approaching for the Second Coming!”
This is repeating myself but back then I provided several links that are to some of my postings about the most egregious sins of the human race, most of them in our modern or current time, and as I see it these were the final nails in humanity’s collective coffin on earth, because anyone who is honest with themself has to see how there is no way all of this evil can be passed over or blotted out by any current human reconciliation or acts of sorrow; mankind has been on the “highway to hell” for a long time now and its coming to the “Final Battle” and “Judgment Day” when Jesus Christ returns, very soon!
Labs, test tubes, experiments it all adds up because you’re right with all of the mad scientist type concoctions being deployed on humanity now which God had allowed I believe as the beginning of the deserved chastisement and punishment to come; these dreams of yours do correlate with the horrors we’ve been seeing unleashed upon our world here of late with the much darker nightmares to come; as the gates of hell are flung wide open with all manner of diabolical demonic forces coming upon the human race, as the spiritual battle is heading to a fever pitch and Armageddon; when all hell will finally break loose!

Me too and I’m nobody, but we know the adage; “the devil is in the details,” and guess what; “the devil is still working overtime” too so don’t expect normalcy or fairness to rule; because Satan is that roaring lion mentioned in the Bible looking for souls to devour and his time to be the spoiler is running out fast so he’s stirring the pot feverishly now, and will up until Jesus Christ returns folks! Hell is Real, and You Could Go There

St. Paul confirms the teaching on heaven and hell in countless places. Here are just a few:
Do you not know that God’s kindness is meant to lead you to repentance? But by your hard and impenitent heart you are storing up wrath for yourself on the day of wrath when God’s righteous judgment will be revealed. For he will render to every man according to his works: to those who by patience and well-doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, he will give eternal life; but for those who are factious and do not obey the truth, but obey wickedness, there will be wrath and fury. (Rom 2:4-8).
Now the works of the flesh are plain: fornication, impurity, licentiousness, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, anger, selfishness, dissension, factions, envy, drunkenness, carousing, and the like. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. (Gal 5:19-21).
Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor robbers will inherit the kingdom of God. (1 Cor 6:9-10).
One can well imagine St. Paul urging us today to pay attention to his words: “Do not be deceived”—do not be deceived by liberal theologians or psychiatrists, by the mass media or the powers of this world. There will be judgment and retribution for all men according to their deeds. It does not matter whether you think there will be, or whether you think it’s fair. God has made His intentions and plans perfectly clear, and He will not be talked out of it by anyone. His first and abiding mercy was precisely to tell us very clearly how we are to live in order to inherit eternal life, and what we must avoid doing if we will avoid eternal perdition.
Even if we had only the text of the Epistles, it would be possible to establish the truth of the Church’s unbroken testimony. But it is our Lord Jesus, the teacher of St. John and St. Paul, who speaks most fearfully and threateningly about the final judgment.
Then the king said to the attendants, “Bind him hand and foot, and cast him into the outer darkness; there men will weep and gnash their teeth.” For many are called, but few are chosen. (Mt 22:13-14).
Enter by the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few. (Mt 7:13-14; see Lk 13:24).
Not every one who says to me, “Lord, Lord,” shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, “Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?” And then I will declare to them, “I never knew you; depart from me, you evildoers.” (Mt 7:21-23; see Lk 13:27).
Just as the weeds are gathered and burned with fire, so will it be at the close of the age. The Son of man will send his angels, and they will gather out of his kingdom all causes of sin and all evildoers, and throw them into the furnace of fire; there men will weep and gnash their teeth. (Mt 13:41-42).
Then he will say to those at his left hand, “Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.” (Mt. 25:41).
Go into all the world and preach the gospel to the whole creation. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. (Mk. 16:15-16).
He who believes in the Son has eternal life; he who does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God rests upon him. (Jn. 3:36).
While it would be unhealthy to become preoccupied with such terrifying verses instead of devoting one’s energy to praising God, seeking His will in prayer, and building His kingdom by a life of good works, nevertheless, if we forget them, if we encourage or allow others to forget them, or worst of all, if we deny their truth, we betray the integral teaching of our Lord Jesus Christ. To do this is nothing less than to betray the Person of Christ, for in denying His words, one denies the incarnate Word of the Father. Jesus came to save sinners who repent, who throw themselves upon the Father’s merciful love; He did not come to grant indiscriminate amnesty for the indifferent, the lukewarm, the unconverted, or the wicked.
Quite simply: eternity is at stake in how we live our lives here and now, what we believe, what we do and refrain from doing.

Carlson Slams Schumer, McConnell Criticism Of Jan. 6 Footage Release
Fox showed portions of the footage over the course of Monday and Tuesday on Carlson’s show. Carlson received more than 40,000 hours of footage from that day from House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA).
Carlson took aim at Schumer who described the airing of the tapes as a threat to American democracy. Carlson said, “these videos are a threat to the lies Chuck Schumer has been telling for the last 26 months.”
Carlson continued, calling the reaction by some of the leaders of the Democratic and Republican parties in Congress “hysteria” and “crazed hyperbole.”
The Fox News host described this as “fear.”
“We’re getting close to what they really care about. They’re all on the same side!”
Carlson then slammed the members of Congress he said support open borders and said that McConnell was living in “splendor” using “Chinese money.”
McConnell described Carlson’s decision to make the tapes public a “mistake.” McConnell was joined by a number of other Republican senators, including Sen. John Thune (R-SD).
The pundit received high praise from many in the conservative movement, for what they describe as showing another side of the events from that day. Many conservative activists point to what they describe as anomalies in the official reporting.
Carlson’s tapes do raise a number of questions in addition to answers. For many, there is considerable interest in why the so-called QAnon Shaman, Jacob Chansley, was escorted into the building by several members of the Capitol police.
He is currently serving a 41-month sentence.

A top feminist author is offering a formal apology to conservatives for believing the mainstream narrative about January 6
Former Clinton advisor Naomi Wolf issued a formal apology to conservatives following the broadcast of never-before-seen January 6 footage by Tucker Carlson.
Wolf, a feminist journalist and Covid-19 skeptic who was once praised by Gloria Steinem and Betty Friedan around the same time she helped President Bill Clinton reach female voters during his 1996 reelection campaign, has repudiated the left wing narrative of January 6 in an open apology to conservatives published via Substack.
“I was duped,” wrote Wolf, and “as a result I made mistakes in judgement,” which “hurt millions of other people” in “existential ways.”
She summarized, “I owe you a full-throated apology. I believed a farrago of lies. And, as a result of these lies, and my credulity — and the credulity of people similarly situated to me – many conservatives’ reputations are being tarnished, on false bases.”
Then, Wolf directly credited the footage aired by Carlson – which showed Capitol police officers appear to peacefully escort the so-called QAnon Shaman through the halls of Congress – and summarized how the video disproved the left’s claims about January 6, 2021:
There is no way for anyone thoughtful, even if he or she is a lifelong Democrat, not to notice that Sen Chuck Schumer did not say to the world that the footage that Mr Carlson aired was not real. Rather, he warned that it was “shameful” for Fox to allow us to see it. The Guardian characterized Mr Carlson’s and Fox News’ sin, weirdly, as “Over-Use” of Jan 6 footage. Isn’t the press supposed to want full transparency for all public interest events? How can you “over-use” real footage of events of national relevance?

Just prior to the Sermon on the Mount Jesus gathered His Apostles one by one calling upon them to follow Him!
“As Jesus went on from there, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax collector’s booth. ‘Follow me,’ he told him, and Matthew got up and followed him” (Matt 9:9, NIV)

Yes it was illustrated from then on, if one gets their heart and mind right, then their hind-side or flesh will follow in order to truly serve God’s will, rather than their own! Humble thyself!

So the bottom-line is we have the perfect instructions to accomplish our Father’s will and achieve our place in heaven and by doing this we cannot fail! We are destined to overcome just as our Savior Jesus Christ overcame all, then we can share in His glory; this is our hope and inheritance that He offers freely to those who will believe and try their best to follow!

Paul your advice is spot-on and this is the underlying problem in this media infused world today, where too much of the public is brainwashed and don’t have the motivation to use critical thinking and do their own investigative homework. Many want to be spoon fed what they should think and believe, not realizing that most of what is propagated in the media is like the old “Gossip News Paper Rags,” like the “National Enquirer.” And so the person who has your best interest at heart should first be yourself; those freewheeling news bags do not! Over time being very selective about whom you listen to becomes more apparent!

Consecration of Russia article. “The Consecration of Russia: One Year Later”
I can’t agree with any of this because as I recall the Fatima Message stated Russia must be consecrated in order to prevent that nation from spreading its corrupt ways. Russia has already done this and for decades we can see the horrible results throughout the world with Marxist/Leninist evil having a stranglehold within so many governments, most frightfully in China now; and it’s indeed facilitating a New World Order Totalitarian Global Reset in the making! Welcome back, readers.
Let’s pick up where we left off at the end of In Praise of Inconvenience. (If you haven’t read that one yet, you may want to dive in now, and then come back to us here!)
In that article, we explored how the “convenience” factor of most modern gadgets often robs us not only of opportunities for spiritual growth—it also has the disturbing effect of detaching us from our human pathways to God: our brains and our senses.
We saw—in the final paragraph of that article—how this could be a campaign in the devil’s war on humans, a war born out of his pure hatred for us and the God Who decided to become human in the Incarnation.
As promised, we will now dive into the nature of this war. We’ll take a step back and get a full-scale view of the whole thing, including the devil’s motivations and real goals. We will then study the new intelligence we’ve uncovered on the devil’s most recent campaigns—which are some of his craftiest and deadliest yet.
Human Genocide

In the modern world, naming a particular atrocity as a genocide is an event that makes international news.
This is because genocide is radically different from a war for territory, a skirmish over trade routes, or even a war of religion (although any of those things can entail genocide). Genocides hold a very different place in the history books and in the courts of international law.
Genocide as defined by Merriam-Webster is “the deliberate and systematic destruction of a racial, political, or cultural group.” It comes from the Greek word genos (race or tribe) and the Latin suffix -cide (killing). The term was first used in the 40s to describe the annihilation of the Jews in Nazi Germany but the reality itself has existed since the dawn of time.
In cases of genocide, a people are targeted for what they are, rather than what they have. That’s a key distinction separating genocide from other sorts of wars.
In a war over territory, an enemy can be placated by handing over the disputed land. The same can be said for a war over riches or other material things. In some wars of religion, you can often keep the enemy happy by subscribing to his religion.
That is not the case with genocide. People are exterminated like cockroaches for the crime of simply existing. There is nothing you can do to satisfy the enemy except lie dead at his feet.
So, to put the devil’s War on Humans in the proper perspective, let’s call it for what it is.
This war is, essentially, a genocide of the human race on the supernatural level.
The devil hates us not just for what we do—worshiping and serving God—but for what we are.
And what are we, exactly?
Of Men and Angels

We, mere mortals, are the creatures whom God not only loved into existence, but for love of whom He became incarnate. He didn’t just make us. He became us in order to make us a part of Himself. We are the Mystical Body of Christ.
There is a traditional theory—though we won’t know the truth of it until the afterlife—that the reason Lucifer pronounced his infamous Non serviam (“I will not serve”) was because he was told to bow before a man: before Christ, Who would, in the fullness of time, become a lowly human. One version of this belief that I heard from the Franciscans was that he was shown the woman with child—Our Lady, bearing the God-Man—and told to kneel.
This was more than Lucifer could take. He was not only an angel—he was the highest of the angels. He was second only to God. He, whose name means “Light-Bearer,” bowing before mere flesh? Before a man?
You know the rest. The devil hates God for being higher than him, and he hates man for the same reason. And he really hates the God-Man, Who—in a magnificent turn of divine wisdom—took on that mortal flesh so hated by Satan in order to defeat his wicked designs.
Satan is defeated by God and Man—at the same time! Isn’t God so delightfully clever?
So you can see why the devil is in a chronic state of rage against Christ, and against us, His Mystical Body.
In destroying us, the devil is not only destroying God’s greatest work—he is also wounding the Body of Christ, his mortal enemy. He knows he can’t destroy Christ completely, but we are within his reach. He will torment the Body in order to wreak vengeance on the Head.
The incomprehensible atrocities that human beings are capable of committing against one another in instances of earthly genocide give us but a vague inkling of the intentions the devil and his minions have towards us.
They won’t rest until we are dead and damned. Every last one of us.
The Good News

Now, it’s necessary to pause and clarify that we are not telling some morbid story in order to inculcate panic or despair.
We may be caught in the middle of a soul-genocide, but we are in no way helpless. We are not in the dreadful position of many victims of earthly genocide, who are often helpless non-combatants, faced with armed enemies of vastly superior power.
The devil is after us, that’s for sure. But you and I are combatants. We lack neither armor nor firepower. And our battle is ours to win or lose. We will win if we choose to, if we hone our fighting skills, keep our weapons in working order, stay vigilant, and remain informed as to the movements of the opposing army.
These Peculiar Times
Speaking of the movements of the opponent, the War on Humans has taken an interesting turn in these peculiar times we live in.
The devil’s goal is the destruction of human beings. As we mentioned in this article’s prequel, he has used various means throughout human history to do this, but in more recent times he has taken the tack of simply deconstructing us—or rather, convincing us to deconstruct ourselves.
He wants to destroy all those things that make us human. Let’s take a closer look at some of those things—and see what he is doing to destroy them.
1. The Five Senses and Sense Experience.

Counterintuitive as it may seem, the devil is trying to destroy our five senses.
Why, you might ask, would he do that? Doesn’t he want us to overfocus on the pleasure of the senses?
Yes, but the devil is a clever fox, and we must examine his tactics carefully to really grasp them.
It’s true that he does hold out the allure of sense pleasure to keep our minds off God and ruin our love for penance.
But his long-term goal is the destruction of the senses and the knowledge that they bring us.
This attack on the senses comprises a couple of different attack fronts.
First, he wants us to overuse our senses. The devil knows well that if we overuse them, they will get numb. Sniffing a rose is an everyday example—wiff it more than a couple times and you won’t smell it anymore.
Similarly, if we have indulgent food all the time, we will lose our taste for it; it will no longer bring us any joy. We will no longer be grateful for it or appreciate it.
Whereas, if we save the indulgent food for a special occasion to share with friends, we not only enjoy it more, but it will also have a spiritual context—bringing joy and camaraderie and offering an opportunity for fellowship and charity. The rarity and the context make it a much more spiritual thing, but if we take away those factors, it simply becomes a drug.
As a wise Franciscan said once, “Catholics know how to feast, because they know how to fast.”
The second attack front is the deepest and most subtle layer of the devil’s battle against the senses. We touched on this in In Praise of Inconvenience.
It seems that—in our age obsessed with convenience, easiness, and instant gratification—the devil is actually pulling us away from sense experience.
This is the experience of doing, making, smelling, tasting, feeling. We do nothing but touch metal or plastic buttons all day.

Almost everything we use, eat, drink, and wear is of poor quality, created for convenience.
We have no skills: no ability to carve, peel, hand-write, weave, mold, trace, or anything else that requires time and practice and talent.

2. Thinking.

We’ll all agree that modern society doesn’t put a lot of emphasis on getting us to think more. Everything is about doing less, thinking less…less, less, less.
As we said in In Praise of Inconvenience, the simple things of everyday life have become so “convenient” that we hardly need to think at all to obtain them.
We are constantly bombarded, every day, every hour, with media to passively consume. It gets easier every day to tune into it, through phones, streaming services, Bluetooth, virtual reality, you name it.
So why is the devil targeting our thinking?
Thinking—or to be more precise, reasoning—is a uniquely human skill. Animals can’t reason, because they are not rational creatures as human beings are—that is, they do not have a thinking mind. Angels don’t need to reason, because that’s not how they receive knowledge. Angelic intellects were infused with all necessary knowledge at once upon their creation.
But we humans, we reason: that is, we take what we do know and mentally work our way towards what we don’t yet know.
It sounds like a dumb question (and a few decades ago, it might have been) but why is thinking well so important?
Here are some benefits of a healthy, functional thinking faculty—and things that the devil definitely doesn’t want us to be good at:
Absorbing and retaining knowledge—i.e., learning and the concurrent skill of good memory—helps us draw closer to God through a deeper understanding of Him and His creation.
Taking what we’ve learned and thinking about it abstractly on our own leads us even more profoundly into God’s mysteries, and hence to a greater love of Him.
Cranial skills like honest self-reflection are crucial to recognizing our own flaws, improving our spiritual lives, and exercising control over our passions and emotions.
Thinking critically about what we see, hear, and are told ensures we do not fall victim to erroneous ideas and bad suggestions.
3. Gender and human love.

Gender is a particularly interesting and dangerous theater of the War on Humans. At stake are both human identity and human love.
The cult of transgenderism that enjoys the spotlight today has, as its goal, the utter annihilation of the concept and importance of gender. This cult wants to make gender an outfit you can put on or take off but which has no real relationship with a person’s identity. Or perhaps, more accurately stated, this cult desires that we can assert a godlike power over our own identity, including gender.
Interestingly, separation of the genders is actually specific to material beings. God has revealed Himself as “Father” and became incarnate through the Holy Spirit as a man. In addition, angels (who are pure, non-material spirits) have only ever appeared to human beings as male and are only referenced in Scripture as such.
Females—and I really think this is a cool thing about women—are known only among earthly creatures. We know of rational hes that aren’t human. But we’ve never met a rational she who isn’t human. I’m guessing that women really make the devil mad because they are, among other things, so thoroughly of the earth, so relentlessly human.
(Of course, there is another big reason why the devil hates women. They remind him of his great enemy, the Blessed Virgin Mary. Her particular power over the devil and his minions is a fascinating topic and we’ll explore it in a future article.)
So why is the devil targeting gender specifically? Why does he see its grave importance, while the cult of transgenderism cannot?
To answer this question, let’s take a look at the purpose of gender in the first place.
Gender is necessary for reproduction, of course, but this is an incomplete answer. God could have produced men individually just as he did with Adam. He could have drawn each one up out of the dust of the earth. He didn’t need to create woman. He didn’t need to involve humans in the reproduction process.
But recall the state of Adam in the Garden of Eden. The Book of Genesis notes that, although he was surrounded by all the beautiful creatures of earth, his heart was lonely because he had no one like himself. His life was devoid of human love.
God said, “It is not good for man to be alone.” He then created woman out of Adam’s very flesh, causing Adam to declare that “this is bone of my bone, and flesh of my flesh.” At last he had someone in his life like himself, and out of his heart sprang the first instance of human love.
The wise God had made man in His own image, and the image was now perfected: man had learned how to love in a relationship, which is a very divine way of loving. Adam now loved a piece of his own flesh, extracted from himself, sharing his nature, a reflection of him but also a distinct person…why, it was positively Trinitarian!
And what is more—Adam and Eve’s love would ultimately be creative. Their love would be embodied in children, in other persons. The love between God the Father and the Son is also a Person—the Holy Spirit. The Holy Trinity thus left its divine imprint on the human family.
The love between man and woman—and the family love that it begets—would henceforth be a special conduit to divine love, a human school that would teach us, in ways we could understand and act upon, the ultimate lesson of divine love. Through loving each other, we could come to love God.
You can probably see now why the devil is targeting the concept of gender. It’s inextricably tied to human love, and hence to divine love.

Man was made to love and be loved. Love is divine, it is God, it is the third Person of the Blessed Trinity. It is the entire point of life. The devil can’t destroy God’s love for men. But he can destroy men’s love for God, and a great way of doing that is to destroy their love for each other.
In addition to the transgender movement, other attacks on marital and family love are obvious and numerous: abortion, contraception, the societal acceptance of gay “marriage,” the epidemic of divorce, widespread cohabitation before marriage (even among Catholics, unfortunately), etc.

There is so much more to say about the love story between God and humans. So many more pages could be spent on the beauty and worth of the human person, and all the ways the devil and the world are trying to dehumanize us.

In addition to the attacks on marital love, some less-obvious operations of the enemy that target other human relationships include the breakdown of true friendships and community life, and the increasing isolation of individuals who spend more and more time online and less time in the company of other humans.
We will explore all these things, and discuss ways to counter the devil’s tactics and bring some humanity back to our lives.
