The Light at the End of the Tunnel

“an opportunity to begin a life of eternity”

We are indeed in a world of perpetual conflict and that in itself is tragic in appearance!  Being that we live in the finite material plane the consequence of which is death or an end point does have a sad or tragic component on its face, but, here we can see clearly with faith or belief in the Supreme Being or Creator by that faith; that this also is an opportunity to begin a life of eternity by way of this temporary gauntlet of contrasts from sorrows to ecstasies.

end of the tunnel web

What I saw in an essay written by a devout Christian referencing the possible lessons to be learned by the pandemic is something I’ve thought about quite a lot lately just like many of you I’m sure.  I see the hypocrisy of modern mankind which generates false narratives or even attitudes of trying to be “immortal” if not in actuality at least in attitude, that we humans with all of our technology now have a chip on our collective shoulders, that we can claim some sort of victory over many things; how even having landed on the moon has certainly proved this conjecture!

Astronaut on Moon web

So, we became arrogant with the presumptive inherent and consequential thinking that we can with our tools overcome just about anything!  We see this attitude in the Big Pharma or Cosmetic industries that constantly inundate the public with basically a type of “political campaign” and “brainwashing,” to use this medication to defeat one problem or another, while using another medication to relieve some symptom or difficulty, usually caused by the preceding medication.  All the while, the majority of people are led to think they can also fight the aging process, being youthful and glowing into old age; which is to me an example of the blind leading the blind or the proverbial, search for the “fountain of youth, creating such a vain self-absorbed race of beings who are preoccupied with superficiality and selfish pursuits; all of which are actually “antichrist in their nature!”  As the other essay stated, death is inevitable and nothing we can do as I see it, is going to stop not only death from claiming anyone or anything in this realm, but, not even the inevitable breakdown or decay of any matter in this universe can be reversed or halted, because of the perpetual conflict of the elements upon one another of which these things are composed, here in this temporary life!  Yes, so many resist this truth while at the same time finding no fault or extreme defect in the acceptance of the boldfaced lie of destroying purely innocent, beautiful UNBORN life, as though it is nothing more than some inconvenient wart or outgrowth that must be removed and disposed of as so much unneeded tissue!  What I point to here is the gravity and amount of sin that prevails in our human civilization, requires a “full measure of absolute justice” from the only source that can exact it upon a wayward race of beings, created by the one and only Supreme Being; God the Almighty.

Gods creation docu

Sadly, I have to say I’m many times disgusted with mankind and think we all deserve far worse than what we’ve gotten already, and that its coming upon us swiftly!  All the while, the beautiful gift and opportunity of our precious lives is still allowing us that one chance to turn to the “only” source of truth and everlasting life, Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, while we still have this great opportunity!  Therein, is the silver lining in this latest of dark clouds to befall mankind; that many may awaken to the stark reality of what is really happening in this world, and, what we can and cannot do about it.  We are after all told in Holy Scriptures to put “all of our trust” in the Lord, not in other men, governments, science or philosophies, and not even ourselves, which is way overemphasized in today’s “me culture!”

Psalm 118:8 “It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.”

Lord Thy God Gives docuI’m including an essay I wrote early this week which may explain more of my reasoning regarding this view I have.  Thank you for this opportunity to share and seek the true light that only comes from our beloved Jesus Christ!  I know where I need to put all of my emphasis and I see how this life is mainly a chance to make one huge decision and mean it; which will determine where my soul will spend eternity, a decision that can and is required to be made by those of us with the faculties to make it; in either a short or very long lifetime; this is what it comes down to.  Amen.

“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.  In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6

  1. No MATTER WHO WE ARE OR HOW MUCH $$$$ we have, no matter what we do, in the end, Father Time will always win. There is no escaping death in the end. At some point, it is going to happen to each and every one of us. And that is just part of life.

    1. All so very true! And, also enough wisdom and ultimate truth of what is really going on has been revealed though the millennia to allow each responsible individual to just accept things for surface and face value thus being superficial or to place all confidence in the higher authority than just mere men! In essence, what I say is that all of our current or past failings are what put humans in all of their predicaments; but, the critical question is what waits for each soul beyond this life, and what choice are we to have and to make in that regard; eternity waits and it is final and forever! Where I end up does matter to me, and is of paramount importance, which I place above anything on this earth or in this universe! So, that is and will be my focus until I draw my last breath, be it in a few seconds from now, or many more years down the road in this conflicting life on earth! Thank you so much for these thoughts of yours, Jeanne!!! 🤗

      1. Hey thank you Jeanne! Go figure, I do that when I can often be a bit of a simpleton and silly or off the wall at times but somewhere in there is a more serious determined dude! He just has to pop up and take charge at times, making me a slight enigma; but I guess that isn’t so bad, I could be much worse things hey! 🙂
Behind schedule here after a very early long hike I’m on track to make some scrumptious homemade blueberry pancakes with the best maple syrup; but I’m sure yours would blow me away totally!

      2. True Jeanne….personalities are a composite I suppose like the idea of cooking a fine dish but adding certain ingredients or spices will alter the dish producing an alternative or mood to the original recipe! But, yes just being multifaceted makes for interesting persons over all, who can be adaptive and have some complexity rather than be a cardboard figure! I try to seek insight as to what a person is like based on character and moral integrity as a basis of what makes a person tick and who they are, then the rest is fluff if the person passes the stink test, LOL! And, I’ve met a few stinkers in my time lmao! Like they say about don’t just jump into the water without testing it first it!
The pancakes were awesome with these huge cultured blueberries that I add on once the first side is browned and the bubbles are coming up through the batter then I drop in the blueberries individually even pressing some down if need be; just before I flip it over! I figured that was best way back when a high school student because my mom would put the blueberries in the batter and if they’re good size ones it seemed like some of the batter didn’t cook well enough so I became the pancake kid around my house and my sisters always wanted them, but would say Larry should make them! I missed my calling maybe?

      3. I’m really going to get crowned? I had a guy say that to me once but it was a slang term “I’ll crown you; if you don’t get out of here!!!” I take it you mean a real crown but a baseball cap would do nicely too! I bet those real deals are expensive. 🙂

      4. Just finished a huge chicken dinner so now I’m relaxing! I was just talking to a retied cop friend here yesterday about the nice new Dodge Challenger he bought with the top Hemi motor and the price tag, and how I really wonder if I could do that, just slap down all that cash and get one, but how I’m too practical and only willing to spend on necessity like remodeling some rooms of the house or whatnot! He said you can’t take it with you, so he plans on spending all of his retirement funds before he departs! I do like that car and my brother in law bought one 5 years ago and he gave me the keys one day saying take it for a spin; that really got to me, reminded me of my teen years, LOL! Is this a mid-life crisis thing? Oh well I’ll probably procrastinate and then forget it like I always do! Like I said I’m happy getting the baseball cap anyway!

  2. Hi Lawrence !
Great post, and thanks for ‘telling it like it is’, and warning people that the decisions we make determine our destiny. That is our responsibility as Christians, to share the good news of the Gospel, and the Lord’s gift of immortal life.
I have reached my biblical life span of three score and ten (70).
My profile photo is a recent, unretouched selfie.
As Christians, we approach the aging process differently.
We give thanks for each day of life as another opportunity to love and serve the Lord.

Without a sincere relationship with Christ, aging becomes a frightening experience, and then, people, in foolishness and vanity, as you mention, will spare no expense to appear ‘younger’.

Nevertheless, God did create us with bodies, and is delighted when we look after ourselves ( and the health of others), as best as we can.

I find that following our Lord is the best anti-aging strategy, since we know that we are God’s beloved, and he has promised to always care for us.

    Thanks, Lawrence !🐑

    1. Hi Sally my sister in Christ Jesus! Thank you for this amazing and from the heart insightful spot on comment that has power from God in it! The Holy Spirit is with you in what you say here; I feel it not only comprehend it! George Soros just teamed up with Bill Gates and Communist China on Corona Virus drug while Christians are now being abused exponentially due to Covid-19 under Islam! These and other events are all coalescing around the one obvious underlying nefarious factor in play of which the writing has been on the wall for quite some years now and leaped exponentially with this pandemic which that the antichrist is preparing to take center stage within a NWO framework being ushered into place rapidly! To me this is no doubt End Time and all we will have to deal with this as well rise above it all will be exactly what the Holy Scriptures have told us and forwarded Humanity that our trust, hope and faith must be in the Lord Jesus Christ! Things will not just settle down to a back to business as usual scenario as most of us were hoping and expecting like so many times throughout history but are off the rails and this is basically World War III.
“Following our Lord is the best anti-aging strategy,” is Spot-On! Your statement is accurate and true and I know from personal experience the key word in this point you bring up is, “Sincere” as I know most if not all at times give lip service very well to the hard and absolute truths and even God’s word or promise! I too have done it and I know from my genuine heartfelt faith throughout my life I was being shielded from even the ravages of time like many of the other typical enemies we have, but not focusing relentlessly on that sincere faith in Him our beloved Lord God who came in the embodiment of Jesus Christ will lead to more trouble and a quickening of sufferings both physical and mental as you said with regard to people panicking and seeking relief in doctors, expensive potions and all manner of nonsense and heresy even! All of which is a blasphemy of God our Father who art in heaven! Most people just don’t get it even when hit over the head and shocked with all kinds of world or personal events they still ignore the truth staring them right in the face! The fact is the only promise worth holding near and dear to our hearts is the one Jesus Christ made to us all on the cross at Calvary and every single promise made under the sun by mankind or any persons is chaff and dust in the wind; useless and ultimately hollow!
God bless you for this genuine powerful message of God’s love and promise that is still in the offing for any who will listen and abide in Him now while they still have time to decide; but time is running out quickly!
      Amen. 🙏 🙏
Thank you very much Sally! I really appreciate you and your beautiful faith! God be with you constantly and protect you dear Lady and Sister in Christ.
      Brother in Christ,

      1. Yes, Lawrence, you are so right !
We do remember, though, that it is God who draws people to the Lord, and faith is given to us as a free, supernatural gift.

It has been strange watching people at the White House wearing masks.

      2. 🤗 Sally! Precisely and Absolutely perfectly said!!! I only said what I know is in my heart, and I’m only a mere simple man sinner on this earth who even if I’m not doing well enough in God’s eyes, I’m feeling it to my core, that I must say what I know in my heart of hearts is the reality I see based on my knowledge, life experience/wisdom, but, most important what I know in my heart to be the honest to goodness truth that God has imparted to me through my many trials and tribulations; and being a mere servant or footstool to Him, it is my obligation to speak honestly before Him and the world, as He knows me better than I know myself, that is why He died on a cross that I should be nailed to and suffer horribly feeling no hope, only utter loss and regret, but, He won’t let that happen to me or you and anyone on this earth right now who will say they are sorry and want His endless love and greater mercy; to save them. I’m actually crying now as I write this, because His Holy Spirit is speaking loud and clear to me, which He does to so many others, but seeks to be heard and felt in the hearts of those that as yet do not listen or believe! So, that is my purpose to be serving Him and only as a simple instrument to convey letting others know these things that will save them, giving them the eternal peace and happiness they truly want in their heart if they will open them up to Him the Lord God! Peace be with you! . 🙏 ❤ 🙏

      3. 🤗 Yes exactly again! That is why we are called to be servants of the Lord’s will via the Holy Spirit in order to keep gathering His lambs especially the lost ones! I was with a couple who are friends in the area most of the afternoon after visiting a former cop another friend and they remarkable were all on the same page with you and I and these others we touch base with here which is astonishing, but then not really considering the time we are living in; and now how there is an outpouring of the Holy Spirit like no other time, at least not since I’ve been on earth! The couple and I with my dog were interacting in a beautiful smooth harmony of inspiration and insight which was remarkable, dots connecting incredibly which would take too long to explain now but absolute connections were coming into play like nothing I’ve experienced in recent weeks, even beyond the walk and meeting the nice grandmother with her 9 month old granddaughter in the stroller! Many of the things I wrote this morning without them even being aware I wrote it today came into the conversation like lightning bolts of confirmation! Was like the day was planned out for me, like when I found the salvation stone! One thing that is funny is the man of the married couple is Italian so you should see how we talk over each other and we both love it, and his wife is so used to it and full Irish ancestry! It was great, and then I left them to go out on their dinner date to eat Thai at one of the best places to get it in the region! I’m so glad to know you Sally! I’m very inspired by your fine productive life’s work, faith especially and your tremendous family focused dedication! I’m sure we will cover some of these points in more depth soon! The one thing I will say now that aligns with what you’ve been saying here today is He is coming like a thief in the night, sooner rather than later I believe, and these folks had actually been studying Holy Scriptures and world events as well with a good church locally helping them and others to at least feel the same way my heart is speaking to me when I’m sharing these essays inspired by the Holy Spirit; and there could very well be a ramping up over the next few years to the final stage without a doubt it seems! This is why as you say we must share the Gospel incessantly and remain vigilant, while discerning all we can! Thank you Sally! 🤗 🙏 🙏 🙏

      4. Hi Lawrence !
Yes, as you wisely say, our responsibility is to keep sharing the Gospel of good news, redemption, and abundant life.

We must be gently aware that those who don’t know our Lord are walking in spiritual darkness. And so we need wisdom and discernment to reach others.

I love your expression of connecting the dots. I remember my children enjoying little books of ‘connect the dots’ pages. They were always so happy when all the dots were connected, and a recognizable image appeared !

Blessings to you, as you continue your good work for the Lord. 🤗

      5. Thank you Sally! Yes; so after people get to connecting lots of dots if in the Spirit, something most special will appear; our Lord Jesus! More people are awakening all the time as dark as things are getting or will, there will always be many who will see the light, so that is the whole point to this process occurring in the first place, as being there is free agency, time and opportunity is given for those who are in darkness or truly lost lambs of God’s, their even having potential always or hope to become aware and turn to the Lord in time; like Dismas actually did being crucified next to Jesus at Calvary!
I bet your kids growing up couldn’t’ get enough of their parents as you are one of the best couples I’ve ever known about and those happy precious times just connecting little dots is still have meaning in their lives for sure! You are inspiring Sally! Thank you for your gentle kindness! 🤗

      6. You’re right Sally! He is seeking them through their hearts but many have hearts that have grown cold and even wicked, so those will take miracles and the last time I checked I’m not an angel or something, well maybe something but a bit indefinable and definitely not an angel! But, we with the Holy Spirit though acting through us; if it’s God’s will, can make unexpected things happen. The main thing is we should always remember to never be acting as free agents of our own volition or devises; all actions to pull another from sin or evil must be guided only by God’s Holy Spirit lest we stumble and fall or be attacked even! I remember even though it was an over the top Hollywood film the Exorcist and how the two priests struggled with the demon possessed girl and the demons were even too difficult for the older wiser priest to expel while the younger priest Damian had to take the whole matter into his own hands literally to save the girl and let the demons come into himself and immediately falling out the window the few stories drop to the street below and die he accomplished the necessary outcome of freeing the young girl completely! I know this is an extreme example but actually more subtle deceptions can be employed by the devil to trip up any of us hat get in over our heads so I try to be basic and straight always as you mentioned discerning and not letting emotions cloud the reality of what we might be up against when engaging with people with deep troubles! Get ready but here’s the other applicable adage that many of my elder family or kin used especially my dad when I was a kid; you can lead a horse to water but you can’t make it drink! I suppose if you tried that with the same horse repeatedly and it didn’t eventually drink then that horse must never get thirsty or it’s playing hard to get and sneaking drinks when your back is turned! Sounds a bit in denial drinker then! I wanted to add on a previous comment about people being so caught up with physical appearance and self when you said it’s a good thing to care what one looks like and I agreed but I meant to say its basic maintenance of one’s body that is fine it’s when like anything else people get obsessed with it making it more important than it really is and think more about looks than substance or character these days!🤗

      7. Hi !
I like the adage about horses ! I love horses and took riding lessons in my youth, and yes, horses can be stubborn, and they all have unique personalities.🐎

Yes, Lawrence, none of us is perfect; we all have weaknesses, but by the power of the Holy Spirit who indwells us, we can do wonderful things for our Lord.

And yes, scripture tells us that God hardens the hearts of some people.
He does not explain why he allows some people to develop cold hearts, nevertheless, he allows it.

I just last year got talking to a lady at a pet store I shop at about her riding lessons she gives and I was supposed to stop by there to look into it more, but things got messed up since fall and now this pandemic madness. Sounds like you got acclimated to riding horses pretty well with that experience!
That scenery and peaceful setting that you’re taking in at the moment is really phenomenal! I’m happy you get to that keep taking in all that beauty, that’s the best combination I think, while having your tea!!! 🤗

      9. Hi Lawrence – I miss the fact that there are no riding stables here on this island.
Traditionally Newfoundlanders used horses to pull sleds to bring logs out of the bush.
Of course, firewood was essential. Our house, when we started to renovate it, had fireplaces in the bedrooms, out of necessity, as hydro did not come to the outports until the 1970s.
There are dozens of seagulls sitting on the rocks in front of the house now.
        Nature is so mysterious.
I have no idea why so many have gathered.
Yes, ‘The virus’ has changed many things, but I am staying cheerful.
        God has everything under control.
We will continue to trust, and not be afraid. 🤗

      10. 🤗 Hi Sally! I just finished having chicken dinner. I’m sure you miss those days I can truly imagine how convenient and enjoyable being near stables was for you! I suppose there are many gains you can counter that loss with now! I had no idea about what the natives did or didn’t do with horses but just the long cold winters and need for lots of hay or grassing area might have put that idea of having horses there not being practical. Yes that house my relatives had built in the 1700’s had that feature and those were rough times to survive and one had to be strong and determined or they’d never make it!
Hey remember the movie by Hitchcock; The Birds how they all gathered on that Island and then turned against the people like something possessed them? I’m sure if it’s a sign it’s a good one in this case but odd things have been going on with nature or the wildlife especially birds and you know how they used to send the canaries into the mines to be sure there wasn’t any dead.ly gas. I think generally seagulls do that as they wait for fishing boats to return to get scraps from the haul or there could be some tidal effect which is bringing schools of fish like whiting in with some current daily, and so the birds can only sit and wait to conserve energy then when fish are that plentiful they can grab some for a while before they go back out with the tide and so on! I agree how nature is so amazing and complex when we look at all of the biodiversity and interwoven or interdependent species and how there has always been a harmony in nature then some events or man knock it “out of kilter!” I just thought Sally how heaven must be so much more dazzling and truly beyond earthly human comprehension, but this here must look like nothing stacked up to what kinds of things exist in the eternal kingdom with God, but what is it like and I wonder if we just move around in some mental/spiritual way but not walking and not even a body like these but that glorified body that Holy Scriptures mention we receive when we go to heaven. Is it a substance without any of the internal organs and blood we have, but instead some powerful spiritual energy from God pouring or radiating our from Him at all times so existing through God is all we need in order to be eternal with Him so we can live and interact with our heavenly Father.
Sure stay cheerful and keep a sound perspective like you do! I will be blunt though I wish I didn’t have to be with anyone including you, which is why I hate to be the bearer of bad news; I don’t think things are going to get right back to where they were and geopolitical policies along with our individual nations policies are going to make matters worse! I mostly gauge this on how the Dem party here has run slipshod all over the US Constitution or rule of law principles and the previous administration violated the Constitution enough to require charges of treason and hangings being carried out, but I think we all know that isn’t going to happen and the bad guys will keep getting away with murder basically, not because they should but they’re treated with a different set of rules than we regular citizen; and also the corruption has gone way too far, so how can you untangle it all without a complete disruption and collapse of the government, along with the MSM being only a propaganda tool now!
Sorry, about bringing this up but I’s only because I just see how the human race is so fouled up and extremely complicated circumstances are manifesting rapidly and so its sadly beyond repair, as prophecies are unfolding anyway before our very eyes! You said the answer to all of this, God has it all under control and we should trust and try our best to live one day at a time!🤗

“we also need extreme discernment and shrewdness,” was a cup of cold water on my face this morning to make sure I’m fully conscious! I had to learn that one the “Hard Way” a few times being more “happy go lucky” in the “mean streets” of life as it is not as we wish it could be! Just because I would never stab someone in the back in a million years doesn’t mean there isn’t a line of people miles long waiting for the opportunity to do it to me in a heartbeat! So sad, but ah so true, what a terrible world we live in that can play such dirty tricks on unsuspecting, kindhearted, innocent persons if they don’t take heed to your wise words here! 🌷🤗🐎🐑

Matthew 10:16 is a powerful verse for me.
It describes the innocence, and the wisdom that Christians need.

You and I both love doves. They are so gentle.
In Israel, white doves are common.

But we also need wisdom. And the Lord completely understands what ‘The world’ is like.

        Matthew 10:16 (NIV)
16 “I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves.”
This is what we can plainly see going on in the world today especially in light of what’s happened to the American seat of power Washington with all manner of treachery and evil being passed off as business as usual, especially during the Obama years when that cohort of Satan and all his minions ran this country into the ground and would have destroyed it completely if God had not intervened to prevent the equally as hideous Hillary from continuing the dirty work of Obama! James Woods points out how many of us by now know Trump was and is the man to take on the dirty horrible job of draining the swamp of Washington and removing the wicked criminals within it! Just when I got this comment from you another email notification came to me about what actor James Woods said in response to a flurry of statements and attacks by Obama over the weekend directed at the President; and basically Woods confirmed for me what I’ve been saying for some time how all the evidence beginning to surface points out that Obama with the evil left and biased MSM are looking to play more games of deception and outright lies during a pandemic mind you, which cuts to the quick of what kind of evil we are dealing with by people who have NO moral integrity or love for God!
These are truly in my eyes the damned and wicked that Jesus Christ spoke about many times!
“And indeed it was intended as such, Mr. President. Rough men stay the course. Treachery, however, is the most dangerous enemy a leader can face. Even Caesar succumbed to it. Be wary. Stay strong. God bless. #ObamaGate https://t.co/nXnKc1en9i”

In my past some bad things happened to good people and even I had a rough ride at times, but nothing back there in the past compares to how hellish things have become! This pandemic is going to be shown to be another piece of the nefarious plans that the worst among us on this earth have hatched to gain the upper hand and take control of us all! “The Devil is working overtime” but is now waiting in the wings for sure!

Once you have the horse in you can’t ever lose it, like riding a bicycle once you can do that you never forget how or lose the knack.🐎
I’ve been called a goof-ball and I figure you can see why! 🤣

      18. Hehe..haha… Besides who says I need a horse to horse-around, I have a pretty good imagination and could probably manage without the horse! I’m sure I could come up with a pretty good horse costume too! 😁 🤗

      1. I’ll make you chuckle or even laugh now!!! I’m a “pack rat,” LOL!!! Not literally thank God, but a human form of such a creature that holds onto so many things in my head or in my living space, you really don’t want to know being a fine Lady, how this bachelor lives with his dog; seems the dog by appearances is more civilized than this collector and clutter junkie, maybe smarter too; perhaps I should have opened a curios shop and lived in it while making a living, because that would have made more sense! Oh well, I do and I don’t; make sense that is! A living, breathing dichotomy! 🤣 🙏 🙏 😂😂😂 😉👍 🙏 🙏

      2. Pampered is the operative word but on steroids! I’m going to buy a whole new bed this coming week just so it can be one with a bit lower profile making it very easy for her to jump up on it as she gets up in years now, though she was always a highly athletic animal and most anyone I meet and ask what they think is her age are underestimating it by more than half her actually age; which was almost the case with me up to several years ago before I had the detrimental effects from the chemical injury and the stress of fighting my own legal battles in the process; being too driven can be necessary but beats the daylights out of a person in many ways!! I have some really good collectable items and one sister worked in the antique auction business so she has told me; “don’t hesitate to liquidate” knowing how much of a clutter king I am! I even have old Lionel train sets from my childhood in the original boxes with all of the accessories and then old cameras or coins and stamps, but that’s the small items. Then I have tools and odd contraptions, an antique car and motorcycle that just take up space and I tend to leave things laying around, so I guess if I was married that wouldn’t be the case anymore because my dear Lady would have me cleaning up everything or would throw it out, lol! 😁 One of my sisters used to do that to me when I was a teen because things I would leave on a counter she would later say, “what thing” and I would say whatever the item was to which she would respond, “oh I thought that was some junk and threw it out!”
I actually became a neat freak some years back for a period but I think I burned out on that because it didn’t do anything for me!
Early today I had to take a saws-all reciprocating saw to an old couch in the basement which used to be a play and day bed thing for my current dog who was to be put down but when I came along by Divine intervention the day before and the order could not be cancelled as they never reversed one of them. But, the director there knew me and said she would try to see if there was any hope with the powers that be; so then the rest is history and I got a stay of execution for a dog the first ever in the facilities history like that! That’s because God was directing that situation! So, I carved up the couch to take it out in pieces, and another couple nearby went in with me on renting a dumpster; and now I can unload some actual junk, hallelujah! 😁

      3. That is very kind of you, Lawrence – to be so gentle with an elderly beloved animal. They especially appreciate it. Our first Golden Retriever celebrated her 15th birthday – exceptionally old for a dog. We had a party for her…
There is beauty in historic things. Our whole community celebrates ‘old’.
Homes are lovingly restored to their former glory, rather than being torn down.

Our home is historic too . The builders around 1900 were real craftsmen.

Objects can bring great joy as they remind us of wonderful memories.
My husband still has a toy rabbit from his childhood…😁

      4. HAHAHA!!! I love it, the toy rabbit, that is awesome and I’m so glad your loving husband and you are so attuned to such little things from the past in those formative years that obviously he like me too, can still appreciate and now connect to giving special meaning to beautiful memories that are long since passed but are still with us as we live in the here and now able to reflect on our lives and see all of the good we received all the way down to a little toy rabbit! See Sally, that’s me too I’m actually very sentimental and love even things that belonged to my grandfather that I’m now the custodian of; things like old high quality hand tools that he used with his own as I ponder how his hands being highly skilled with tools and I feel proud to have them now and just makes me appreciate him and my family going back! Some of my family on both parents’ sides had historical homes too. I always looked at this one home a grandmother owned very closely because as you pointed out back in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s some of the Victorian homes were works of art with the handcrafted woodwork on walls, ceilings or floors and actually the whole house interior to exterior had features you never see being incorporated into the new get it done quick homes of today! One Uncle and aunt had a home built back in George Washington’s time before the Revolution that they restored to original grandeur and maintained with their two other homes at the time; being a bit wealthy they could do that! They took time and pride in building each home back then when a man’s word was bond and people genuinely cared about their customer or homeowner, many being good friends or neighbors! The cabinets or “cupboards” and even the closets were artistically constructed and that house my grandmother owned which was her last home she purchased had a wonderful wine cellar with all of the equipment to make wine; which she did, LOL!
Back to my favorite subject saving the best for last that is some beautiful thing you did for your First Golden Retriever!!! I’m very touched and moved by how you and your husband thought so lovingly for your Golden even giving the dog a party; that was one blessed dog to have you guys as family watching over as the good shepherds; and the dog loved you the most any dog can love! My current dog; I may have already mentioned eats my food too, Sockeye Salmon, Sea Scallops, organic veggies with brown rice along with a high grade tried and tested kibble of lamb meal and rice made by Diamond Naturals which is made according to high quality standards with a 51 step inspection or quality control, and the owner who started the brand did it to actually put a great dog food out for them, as he loves them like we do, so along with his scientist friends and contacts he produced a dog food based on exacting science and high quality components! I was sold with this guy watching him on a talk show many years ago, but he was also a champion Samoyed breeder and entered his dogs in many of the big pedigree shows; and of course my having owned a few Samoyed’s which happen to have a special place in my heart as they were so intelligent and gorgeous looking as well as affectionate; I guess that had something to do with liking that owner of the food company! One of my Samoyed’s I actually witnessed over years that she recognized well over a 100 maybe approaching 150 to nearly 200 words and she practically read my mind! They have studied Australian Border Collies in this regard and found they are extremely word savvy! But, I love all dogs and they are my favorite companion pet/friend/family member! If I had my way I would have many dogs and the most I had at once was 5, but, I could see me with dozens to be honest, although that would be a chore I would feel like I’m one of them and just have a blast too! They offer so much unconditional love; can you imagine a dozen of them all around you! 😁 🤗🤗🤗
OH! You won’t sell off that rabbit I hope!!!

      5. Beautiful descriptions of your uncle and aunt’s home.
I agree that these homes are works of art, and took a long time to be constructed so carefully.

Yes, doggies function best on a high quality diet. I will check and see if Diamond Naturals is available out here, in preparation for our new puppy !

I am not a t.v. watcher, but my husband has a smart t.v. and I really enjoy watching tapes of Golden Retriever puppies. 🤗

      6. Hi Sally always interesting and nice to read what you write back!!! Yes, precisely because people took serious time back in those old days to put anything together by hand they gave it their best and were high on quality craftsmanship that way, not speed which is what happened since the Industrial Revolution got into a fever pitch and how running business started jumping on the time is money rubbish too much, because someone is checking numbers all the time and profit margins, rather than thinking about humans being the focus and how to put their all into any given production for quality’s sake and content customers; like say how an artist works on a masterpiece! Once the Industrial Revolution got spinning wild then humanity and character became less important while numbers and profits counted more than the people, thus the beginning of where we are now with machines or AI taking the place of people and maybe soon actually replacing them, especially in China and such totalitarian empires or countries; but if that ball gets rolling fiercely, then it will be that way most anyplace!
Yes that would be good to check on the food that way to see if it is available there but if not I will give another suggestion that I tried once during the pandemic when I ran out of her food but seems like a good one.
I do remember how you don’t like noise and many movies or shows do get loud and just lots of commotion so I see how you would prefer to leisurely relax and read and write way more! Also, watching the tapes or some an animal shows are fun and interesting. 🤗

  3. Well said, Lawerence. This week I was thinking that it appears as if this pandemic deception is to put all of us on some sort of medication to put more money in the hands of the greedy. Thank God, life and truth is in the Lord Jesus Christ.

    1. Thanks Beverly and I’m definitely following your line of thinking here! We are being scammed by so many nefarious wicked minded human corrupted souls which tells me the Devil is working overtime and then some to accelerate the demise of the human race, what else could be happening with all of this mayhem and its unreal how members of our US Congress behave out in the open so vicious and full of maleficence! I’m not saying anything here that isn’t plain to see but I’m really blown away how destructive many of the most elite and fortunate in our world are caring on!!! It has to be the End Time just by default this can go on much more!!! Just last night flipping the channels I came upon some of the local Dem leaders all doing a teleconference via Skype and they all act as though they are so fine and dandy and all the woes of our society including their false narratives and scams starting with the Russian Collusion never happened and they are not guilty of so much waste and rotten governance which is ruining our system and society! I look at them and say how they can be this evil and stupid to think they are not going to be 100% punished for all the harm and blaspheme they performed upon our people who are all God’s people! I guess they love and worship money and power too much; and they are now corrupted to the core! To me they sold their souls to the Devil! Jesus Christ, yes as you say; He is going to make all things right for His chosen and faithful! Thank you Jesus!!!

      1. It is amazing how this virus has become politicized. It makes me wonder if this was all a plot. I try not to get involve in politics especially USA politics, which appear complicated to me. But, I can tell you one thing, we have some serious times ahead of us.

      2. 😉 👍 That’s the ticket!!! 🙏 🙏 The main thing is you discern and know that what is coming is from a very bad place after all we’ve already witnessed, and it won’t relent until it is crushed for good! Justice is coming for God’s children, perfect justice!!!
I tend to deal with politics since it became so treacherous and evil, but mainly because it was thrust into my face in recent years just how nefarious it had become, so I felt there is a mission in this battle for me to some degree, as I hope to seek God’s will in all things that involve me now more than I had before. Don’t fill your mind with much of it, but you’re right it’s politicized and very wicked now, so prayers are our greatest weapon, God hears us in the name of Jesus! Amen.

    2. Hi Beverley! Since our last exchange here I was thinking how you mentioned you don’t like getting involved in politics and I told you I got forced into it. Here are some links that when you get any spare time maybe you can look and see why I said that and I mainly didn’t want you to have any impression that I’m one of those characters that likes bashing the other side; I wish everything wasn’t so messed up but sadly it is. Have a good day. God bless you and yours.
