Justice Clarence Thomas administers the official Constitutional Oath to Barrett at White House
The United States Senate has officially confirmed Judge Amy Coney Barrett as a U.S. Supreme Court justice in a 52-48 vote, despite pushback from Democrats who fought to stop the Republican-led upper chamber from moving forward with President Donald Trump’s nominee to replace the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg ahead of Election Day.
Every GOP senator voted for Barrett’s confirmation except Sen. Susan Collins (Maine), who joined Democrats in arguing that the nomination of a new justice should be made by whomever wins the presidential election on Nov. 3.
What are the details?
Ahead of the actual vote, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), declared from the floor that “today…will go down as one of the darkest days in the 231-year history of the United States Senate.”
He went on to warn Republicans, “You may win this vote… But you will never, ever, get your credibility back. And the next time the American people give Democrats a majority in this chamber, you will have forfeited your right to tell us how to run that majority.”
Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) gave a history of what has occurred in recent decades in the confirmation of justices, and explained to the chamber in his speech following Schumer’s: “The reason we were able to do what we did in 2016, 2018 and 2020 was because we had the majority.”
Vice President Mike Pence had originally been expected to preside over Barrett’s confirmation vote in the Senate, but those plans were changed after several of Pence’s close aides recently tested positive for COVID-19. As The Hill pointed out ahead of the vote, 52 Senate Republicans were “expected to vote for Barrett, which means the vice president” was not needed to break a 50-50 tie. Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) served as Senate president during the proceedings.
The Associated Press reported that Justice Clarence Thomas administered the Constitutional Oath to Barrett, 48, before a crowd of about 200 on the South Lawn at the White House.
Fox News noted that “Thomas has long been considered one of the more conservative justices on the Court, along with Barrett’s mentor, the late Justice Antonin Scalia.”
Shortly after the vote occurred, the Supreme Court sent out a news release announcing that Chief Justice John Roberts will administer the Judicial Oath to Barrett in a private ceremony in a conference room in the court building on Tuesday, and that a formal ceremony will take place in the actual courtroom at a later date.
According to The New York Times, Justice Barrett “could start work” at the Supreme Court as early as Tuesday, once she has taken her oaths.
Roll Call reported that Barrett’s confirmation “boost[s] the long-running advantage for justices appointed by Republican presidents from 5-4 to 6-3, which [means] the liberal wing would have to pick up at least two votes from the conservative wing to find any victories in cases on ideologically divisive issues.”

The Hand of God has blessed our nation with the brilliant legal mind of Amy Coney Barrett who promises to read the Constitution and absorb the exact meaning from it as the writers and framers had when they wrote it. The picture of the Sacred Heart of Jesus on this page reminds me of that … His Hand blessing us!! Here is Amy our new Supreme Court justice … against all odds and against the hate of the left, who believe apparently, that Constitutional cases before the Supreme Court, should be decided on ideology somehow. AOC and Diana Feinstein have said so much in their rage expressed to the media in their call for packing the courts … yes … plural … with judges more in keeping with each others ideology. Ideology has nothing to do with legal decisions. The law does. Referring back to that Hand of God lifted in blessing .. it was there on the President too when he recovered so quickly from Covid19 and began making antibodies within a week or so. wow. This giant of a man, 74 years old, post Covid19 has been out on the campaign trail looking the picture of health. He stands for all that God wants for our nation and it has been prophesied by Tom Zimmerman (author of the little blue book of prayers to St. Bridget), and, who has spent years living in Rome so that he could be near the Holy House of Loretto, and, who is known as ‘The Hermit of Loretto’ … that a rich American playboy would “bring America back to God”. This was in the early 1980’s. Tom Zimmerman bought a brick to go into the Holy Door when it was being closed. The brick is in there now and he had the name Donald J. Trump inscribed on it. All the Masses being said there are for those names. I see the Hermit of Loretto’s prophesy coming true. God is good!

Mary Anne, reading what you wrote here is bringing tears to my eyes as I not only comprehend the truth and meaning of all you said but I KNOW in my HEART by the presence of the Holy Spirit it comes from Him our Lord and Savior who is making certain that the Father’s will is being done here by the faithful. Halleluiah His saving Grace is answering all of our prayers in these matters that have seemed so arduous and insurmountable!
Justice Amy Coney Barrett is no doubt a heroine that God prepared for this very time my friend and sister in Christ Jesus! President Trumps amazing recovery and as you said hitting the campaign trail as he has to me is another sign of actual miracles unfolding before all of our eyes letting us know that Jesus is right here with us and will not let down his faithful who want so much to do his will and serve Him out of sheer love for Him and our Father in heaven. I have to cry thinking about all of this! The Hermit of Loretto’s prophesy is something I only knew about vaguely that back in the 80’something was said about this rich person here in America which turns out to be Donald J. Trump for sure and I did hear in a program interview with Trump some time ago that his grandmother gave her bible to him saying that he should keep following the faith because he would be doing something very important for God in the future. Thank God for Tom Zimmerman and his bringing that brick to be placed in the Holy Door! I’m so amazed by God’s power, glory, love and presence in our world it gets me so excited; and feeling sorry that I didn’t do as well in all things as I may have, but, I feel his mercy telling me that I did well and just keep looking forward to Him because that is all that matters! It makes me very happy you enjoyed this article and the photo of the “Sacred Heart of Jesus” that God via the Holy Spirit made sure I saw just prior to writing that article making me realize as I was ready to publish it that this was the right and perfect photo to insert for all others to see; just knowing it means so much to you brings happiness to my own heart that the Holy Spirit is directly involved in our serving the Lord. I think you will find this article today a bit interesting for the sake of Justice being done as God’s will on earth as in heaven which I mentioned in the matter of Justice Barrett being confirmed, and, how that was a sign as it leads us to see other signs now. I have said for months to some people in conversation and in my writing the “Winds of Truth and Justice” are fast approaching! Now my sister in Christ Jesus we see they have arrived and will not leave us to deal with the many challenges alone! He is with us; Immanuel. In Isaiah 7:14 the Bible gives a prophecy of the name of Jesus. It says, “Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Immanuel.” This holds true now that He is giving us signs when and where He will.

Dear Brother in Christ, It makes me so happy to think that someone else in the world listens to my blabbing. Thanks for your kind and interesting reply. Indeed I see these events we speak of as miracles also. Miracles shine … as St. John said at the Ascension of Jesus into heaven: “If all His miracles were written down, there wouldn’t be enough room in the world for the books.” I’m paraphrasing here. It is a miracle that the President got over Covid so quickly and is back on the trail … healthy as a horse as the saying goes. It is a miracle that this true lady got confirmed to be a Supreme Court justice in the chaotic times which we exist in. I bet her kids just love her to the moon! Please watch the video on Haurietis Aquas I fear they will remove it. Rudy Giuliano sounds like Father James Altman at the finale! It’s filled with important info. Like … we can include Whitey Bulger in the Socialist political game with millions and millions of dollars.

Hi Mary Anne Sister in Christ Jesus. What you provide here is not in the slightest way babbling; as a matter of fact your words or accompanying articles are very insightful, timely and necessary ideas or thoughts for others to share; who seek enlightenment and being mindful of doing God’s will on Earth. St. John did say it best because indeed the constant miracle of life and God’s mercy is truly inconceivable to fully fathom in its fullness until we are there in heaven with Him, then we will share in His glory and eternal Power. President Trump is a dynamo and obviously cares this much; that he is seeking to follow God’s will, not his own, as I see it! Praying and having faith in his victory right around the corner as you and countless others most assuredly do is my deepest prayer right now, Mary Anne. Justice Amy Coney Barrett must be adored constantly by all of her beautiful children; what a Lady and Woman of the highest standards of excellence in all respects, who I would be star struck to meet in person; and, I met some leading movie stars going back over the years and wasn’t that freaked out, maybe only when I met Paul Newman while working on a film, was I just a bit. You’re right Rudy is a champion of excellence and stern determination in seeking truth as I see him, and, what a good man to have on the Trump team. Rudy really knows his stuff and has done some remarkable work serving Justice over the years; let alone ran New York City better than most of the rest in recent years Socialism as I see it is just another tool of Satan’s to be quite frank, along with any dictatorships and all communist ideology. Marx, Lenin, Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot and any such monsters were truly diabolical doing nothing for humanity other than to crush it as they pleased. The CCP is the most dangerous aside from Russia in this regard now with their atheistic view of mankind they are to me Satan’s cheerleaders and earthly henchmen. Xi Jinping with that regime has had no problem in slaughtering over a million Tibetans in China’s push to expand its tentacles of power in that part of the world.
