This was a very striking opening for a science fiction novel, especially considering that it was written that many years ago at the dawn of the 20^th century just before the Industrial Revolution would get into full swing. Wells was onto an idea of a new order of enemies that posed a great threat to mankind, enemies not here on earth like all human wars or conflicts had previously began and ended, but instead by unearthly forces that are so alien and not at all interested in making friendships but rather only looking to conquer, exploit, control and eventually destroy us the same way we exterminate any garden variety pests or say use a lab rat, and in many more cases the way we slaughter mass produced animals for food consumption! Sadly, just a couple of decades later there would be actual attacks taking place on earth of the typical kind but on a most unprecedented scale when the 1^st World War began, which was immediately named the War to End All Wars! Of course that didn’t happen and we humans went on to have many smaller conflicts leading up to what then became the 2^nd WW some 20 years later. As these times changed and progressed to a much higher technological era along the way this concept of aliens from space became a more prevalent theme in novels and films as we are all acquainted with some of the major block buster hits like Aliens, The Day the Earth Stood Still, The Body Snatchers, Independence Day and many other lesser significant but just as creepy with Outer Space beings always coming here to rob our lives and planet of all we have to use for their own designs. Even Television movies or series became very popular like “The Invaders” which had an intro monologue that spells out just how unfriendly and evil these Outer Space beings are and how they are more demon than humanoid or any close facsimile.

Now over the last several decades what proved itself out to be as lethal as these farfetched ideas of sinister enemies from outer space we found that there are earthly enemies with an ungodly sinister ideology with just as oppressive agendas as an outer space invader only these are other humans who if given the opportunity will enslave and destroy humans not deemed satisfactorily indoctrinated or useful to their ends.

But at the time H.G. Wells was writing about such bizarre fantasies and as the world was changing dramatically from an agricultural based civilization to an industrialized one, people like Charles Darwin with his Origin of Species was projecting a whole new belief system about human origin and purpose and none of it based on God or previous Holy Scripture teachings and so new radical shift alterations of public consciousness and sentiments became major distractions from ancient truths proven out over thousands of years that were being attacked by things like the, “Scopes Trial, also called the “Monkey Trial,” a highly publicized trial that took place July 10-21, 1925, during which a Dayton, Tennessee, high-school teacher, John T. This type of radical or extreme belief system remained persistent and eventually won out in altering the human race to a large extent not for the better but to its detriment and demise putting everything in disarray and a state of pandemonium or eventually a shift away from true morality and God given rights of man’s to a mind-set of the government being its own God or self-declared creator and ruling according to what the few or most powerful among us dictate; but only by their own selfish or at times even evil interests and designs.

But now in retrospect we can clearly see that during the time period just after the American Civil War and specifically while H.G. Wells was growing up Darwin’s origin of species was beginning to get so much attention that eventually it developed into a flurry by the time the “Scopes Trial” came into view in 1925 and that along with the techno-revolution with its mass production assembly lines being in place to move people toward materialistic secularism with its accompanying increased belief in man or machines rather than God and these new science age ideas have had us going toward thinking evil would be physical beings not of this earth and away from the fact that Scriptures told us of the nether world with it’s evil beings the fallen angels or demons; and so from a spiritual demons verses good angels world of God, all of that was now being pushed back by mankind while instead putting emphasis on science and technology, while forgetting the biggest evil is man’s own folly and arrogance; which led to such human monsters or maniacs like Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot, and even people now like Obama, Biden or China’s Xi Jiping the Communist lifetime ruler, along with so many others who operate as politicians joined by Dem minions now even working hand in hand with the Communist “atheists” as mentioned here by a former Democrat CIA agent,

There are many examples of how in the truly secular thinking world there are those that are living day to day with no purpose that only God gives to us who are fallen and so they live as zombies with a meaningless service to the evil one who can’t wait to pull as many of those into hell as he can but meanwhile using them as minions to trap or snare others. I think that much worse is yet to come when people will be basically forced by circumstances and government actions to participate with the NWO control which will be when the mark is provided in order to eat and live, that will be when things are going to explode, just when the antichrist is taking his earthy throne to enslave the human race. A Planet of the Apes scenario only where AI are the Apes! But, a recent article I read was excellent in how it pointed out that what we who resist are doing is opening minds and channels of communication to blaze those trails into uncharted territory mentioned in the article, because in doing so many will come together, “the angels and heroes of humanity” to oppose all of this evil and utterly destroy it with the help of our “Glorious Creator” who has had and has the ultimate plan in motion always, and it’s all been figured in advance, there is only one conclusion, “Good Will Overcome” evil and the “Light will Prevail” over all of the darkest of forces and pits of hell!

Now we find ourselves in a highly technological age with morals lagging far behind the highly toxic mesmerizing effects of instant gratification and almost anything goes decadence, where modesty and virtue are being stripped away as human qualities of soul and character at one time most prevalent in society; now being replaced with playing the game and getting what you want and more by screwing over the other guy before he does it to you. A suit happy culture where the politicians and lawyers are rewriting the rule books and setting up the public for a fall.

What’s really scary is how a sort of Trojan Horse operation is in place where we have evil minded enemies within that are out for blood and the heart of America to devour it and then spit it out; they are such vile contemptuous creatures! Barely Significant or Bearing Witness

I just read a very beautiful description written by a wonderful Christian fellow blogger about an annual natural event in her corner of the world that is truly breathtaking and deeply inspiring. Also, her specific story reminded me of a collection of photographs I have compiled over the years in my animal advocacy efforts that fit this idea perfectly. This fine description of hers triggered some esoteric inner thought regarding the why of life and purpose, which follows!

Yes these natural ebb and flow events such as this glacier produced iceberg/ice-floes which separate the long cold winter from summer with the rhythm of life on earth, have continued for millennia and never lose their breathtaking majesty like this ebb and flow event of nature! This to me is a repeated message of just how awe inspiring and great God is to have created all of this wonder for we children of God to behold and witness as we being a conscious part of His plan BEAR a most significant position above all other life to respond to God by means of our direct interactive experience with Him through His magnificent Creation! This I see clearly is all conducted and allowed so we can get to know Him and finally be with Him as members of the most inner sanctum, or be in the presence of God the Creator; as we now must grow in our understanding and appreciation of His plan and purpose by means of His WORD coupled with this process of EXPERIENCE in order to fulfill our personal obligation of thanks and love for Him, for giving us this Great Gift!

Just be careful of those Polar BEARS as you live in the moment of this great fulfillment, because the bears are predominately concerned with being bears and getting their next meal. They are a magnificent creature of Gods!

For many years I’ve been concerned with the increased exposure to electromagnetic fields created by power grid systems in our communities. I actually started a petition in my community to resist a proposed plan by the power company and the State’s Public Utilities Commission who I recognized were in bed together promoting a new Three Phase Power Trunk Transmission Line being placed right next to existing homes, putting lives at greater risk; all being enabled and facilitated by the fact of the embedded Crony Capitalism /New World Order agendas being carried out on a global scale.

Here is a tiny piece of information already in circulation among scientists indicated by several studies.

Increasingly, the medical community is recognizing the danger to health these power lines can cause. For example, a variety of studies suggests that living close to high-voltage power lines can increase the incidence of several kinds of cancer, as well as other diseases. An increased risk of 69% for leukemia was found for children living within 200 m of power lines while an increased risk of 23% was found for children living within 200 to 600 m of the lines. Now this past known danger is being dwarfed by the New High Tech.

Here I list some reliable data that clearly indicates in the least that we are heading into very shaky territory with regard to increased risk factors for human life as this high tech explosion is taking on A Mind of its Own.

Post Script 4/11/2020

I was responding to a fellow bloggers article which specified the current position by many in the cell and digital communications industries that these non-ionizing radiations on the lower end or mid-range of the electromagnetic spectrum are harmless. Here is what I thought about this subject as it pertains to both my article and the other bloggers.

These reassuring data that experts spew out may be convincing to many folks but they certainly aren’t to me. First we know many times officials have vested interests in calming fears or negative theories to the game plan because big MONEY is involved and mixing greed, politics, money or in the case of some totalitarian mind-set governments, power is the central driving force in the fast tracking and instituting of policies with subsequent introduction of technologies. In other words haven’t we learned by now that those in control of the masses aren’t always looking out for our best interests but rather the interests of the few! Right off the top the idea that these lower band non-ionizing radiations are harmless is poppycock and this I know from my own experience and observations. I myself some years back worked in the control room of a television broadcasting station and through conversation with long term employees there discovered that a couple of guys had developed thyroid cancers which I thought more likely were either directly caused by the electromagnetic field or radio wave emissions they were being exposed to continually or if not the most direct link to the cancers may have played a role in exacerbating an underlying biological issue in these men; perhaps acting like a trip wire or switch to trigger the illness. Moreover my thought on this whole debate is that we are looking at short term data and these cell technologies are fairly new relatively speaking on the forefront of digital communication with up close and daily personal use by the masses, and there are no massive long term studies on which to base sensible foundational truths on what sort of harm might be occurring to billions of humans which may become all too obvious eventually when the damage is done and we find birth defects or brain damage and a variety of cancers cropping up. Anyone with basic awareness about cancers knows that repeated exposure to an unnatural level of irritation to human tissue especially over the long term is a recipe for cell mutation and development of cancer. Not everyone that smoked cigarettes got cancer but many did, perhaps some of them from underlying predisposition factors, but nonetheless it was from the long term constant exposure to the carcinogens in the smoke that did cause cell mutation or breakdown. I say it’s way too soon for anyone to be saying anything as ridiculous as this bombarding of our bodies with these energies is harmless and nothing to be concerned with; I say to that; its pure rubbish and a lie to make such statements only being made to quell the concerns of any rational person, because those that stand to gain the most from the advancement of these technologies are writing the narrative as they go along while ramming it all down our throats with smoke and mirror rhetoric backed up by bought and paid for studies just like the tobacco industry did for generations until the truth got out and then bottom fell out! Perhaps the machines have already taken us over and we are going to be obsolete down the road, because with quickly advancing AI now becoming a reality, they will eventually be writing the narrative not humans! Self-preservation used to be king with we humans, but I’m afraid that took a back seat to power and greed or other nefarious designs that won’t be able to care less about whether we or our children or their children will be healthy and happy in a safe world for people; now that our preservation is fast growing inconsequential to the current direction things are headed!

Turns out I was right initially and had a regular cold, which my home remedies were reducing in cooperation with my own immune system naturally; but, then I got anxious and used an over the counter drug to reduce the sinus pressure I experiencing which led to a strong toxic allergic reaction by my body to some components of the medication or in essence, I triggered severe side effects worse than the initial problem, some of which not only effected my sinuses negatively but also my chest making both areas feel like a huge headache, very painful, which led to an autoimmune response with a slight fever! Sometimes it’s better to let nature takes its course, and let the body mend slowly the way it needs to! Also, don’t think just because something is sold without a prescription written by an MD that it’s not too potent or has to be benign; because that can be a serious mistake with troubling and even devastating consequences, as it was in my case. Be sure to stay attuned to your own body’s sensitivities or allergies as best you can. Good potent homemade chicken soup like old fashioned grandmothers used to make, accompanied with plenty of bed rest are still tried and proven treatment for what ails a person with simple colds or being a little run-down; if you don’t need a doctor straightaway.

But, speaking of Old Fashioned Remedies, now that we’re all under this lock-down order being holed-up in our abodes I’ve used the isolation time to write and enjoy some “Classic Drama or Comedy Films” to just kick back and take in some real quality entertainment with some of the most iconic names from the show-business past. One such film was “The Nutty Professor,” Starring Jerry Lewis which had me in stitches! “Actually” though, as I watched this really funny story unfold on my home movie screen I starting stirring inside as I began to realize that hidden beneath the outer veneer of the story-line and imagery was a real character study, which although an extreme example of the duality that works within us all, this was spot-on with regard to how we all juggle our necessities of practicality with those inner desires to breakout and be somebody; a winner! That struggle we all have at some time in our lives with overcoming our flights of fancy by carrying on doing what’s expected of us as responsible adults who for better or worse have to conform to standard operating procedures, SOP, in order to navigate just the basics of survival in this very complicated modern world! I suddenly found myself amidst the laughter starting to have tears of joy mixed with humility hearing my inner voice say, “Hey this Buddy guy, I’m kind of like him, and I’m even a bit of a kooky nerd scientist” in there too; that’s what makes up my own personality!

But, the Buddy got the Better of Me; because with all of the corona virus worry we have presently I thought it would be better to hurry my recovery from the cold and keep a leg up on my resistance against any such virus infecting me, I just wanted the cold to be gone; but got jammed up.

I think the Nutty Professor in me had me thinking I can tinker a bit like I did when I was a kid with my chemistry sets in the basement which had gotten me placed in advanced chemistry in high school and college; so therefore equipped with a fair amount chemistry knowledge along with my special tea concoctions that I’m always making, this would have to give me an edge on staying ahead of the curve as they say. But, sometimes we can get a little too big for our britches or get ahead of ourselves and end up stumbling big time, ending up with many more lumps and bruises than when we started out. Ah, here’s to your health or, ahhh, ACTUALLY I mean mine!

Sometimes trying to run the race to recovery too fast, may lead to being out of the race entirely; temporarily or maybe even permanently!

We all remember our mothers warning us not to go out to play with our friends so soon after getting over the flu or not to push our luck just because we were starting to feel a little better; full recovery is always best before being put to the test.

And the flip-side is we can all have a little Nutty Professor or the Cool Debonair that thinks he can handle any contingency Buddy’s other self or our own other alter-ego trying to convince us that we know how to handle ourselves; but it’s way too much for our own good! The old “Dr Jekyll and Mr. Hyde” complex at work, both of them are pulling us into retreat or way up the road to adventure and fun times, to try burning the candle at both ends, just because we can do it! Not so fast or so slow is my perspective on all of it, and striking a balance is the ideal thing to do in anything we do, especially when it comes to our own well-being.

What follows is a brief reply to a letter written as a blog by a fellow warrior, who was wounded by life’s trials and tribulations; which is only meant to give respect and honor to him for prevailing and then above all for our Maker for providing this opportunity!

Firstly, thank you for sharing this powerful slice of your life that indeed crippled you for a time but more importantly you prevailed out of and rose above the crushing blow to your inner and outer life! Loss is so traumatic and even horrific, so that can never be taken lightly, and indeed anyone who does isn’t alive or has no humanity within them. Healing is a process that is real too and I see and hear happily that you have been on a long road to recovering and healing as a man who always had good intentions and now those intentions are incredibly more alive than before and have taken on more power and focus, a vitality and singularity of purpose that wasn’t there ever; like it is now.

In life we can arrive at a crossroad where things don’t seem to add up or things look so futile; and that the things going on in our lives may be consuming us or that the world itself is deadly, which eventually defeats us one way or the other. I remember older relatives speaking of being in actual battle, wars and how buddies, fellow warriors standing next to them one minute and the next blown to smithereens, nothing left practically, and then the eventual question of why them and not me! These are sad and frightful thoughts or realities that befall us in this dichotomy of life where there is so much good but yet equally so much bad, because in the end living this earthly life death wins and all things come to their end. My dad taught me as a kid that faith is the key to making it through this what can be at times for some individuals a living hell, because he loved life and his family so much; but I found in time that he loved God more, and knew the secret that really is actually not one.

Belief in that higher power the Almighty is a choice and every thinking breathing human being has to address that question of faith at some point; so dad did say too, that we are tested here Lawrence! You see my brother, we are in our trials and tribulations period and there is an agony and ecstasy value to life that transcends all of this and we can’t fully comprehend it! But, without the dark for the light to shine through how would any corporeal or spiritual being grow to appreciate the unfathomable, and the choice not being given of “free agency” would mean that life surely would be meaningless or of no consequence one way or the other and we would be nothing more to God or ourselves than lumps of matter existing for no real purpose! I think you’re getting where I’m coming from here brother; yes it is damn tough at times and some seem to suffer much more than others, perhaps not by anything they do wrong but being a victim of circumstance! But, those that do suffer in the heat of the flame longest and feel the pain learn and evolve to become more than the original version and like the tempering of steel the innermost characteristics are altered as they take on a new power and strength to forge ahead leading others and helping in ways they otherwise would not have been ever able to without first running the gauntlet; and in the end they did it for purpose; to be there “to serve God’s plan” as instruments of the ultimate goal to save as many as possible from doom or oblivion; which to me is a meaningless existence and then feeling that way for eternity; damnation! Purpose and victory are ahead for those that will take up the shield of truth, honor, bravery and love with commitment to the purpose, the mission, as long is required onto victory! You have been through a nightmare but you are elevated in God’s eyes now, it’s what you do with that, He awaits your decision; with resolve and new commitment to forge ahead and carry on trusting all to Him our Lord; with that nothing will stand in the way or defeat the purpose or you.

I appreciate the added insight and inspiration you have provided here to my outlook! Amen.

I’d like to share this beautiful and kindly effort with you by my fellow blogger and Christian Friend Ali. Her work is highly commendable and noteworthy and I was so inspired by this latest positive message from her that I was truly moved and felt the Spirit of our Lord Jesus Christ moving in this very troubling time with so many doubts swirling around the planet; but here we have Ali my Christian Sister giving me a shot to my heart of the only medicine that matters, the one true cure for anything that ails any of us and it comes to us direct from God in heaven if we just have an open heart to receive it. Ali is a motivator and she certainly motivated my positive energy that I admit can be dampened or skewed at times by the actual resentment I develop toward some very nasty people running amuck on this planet doing great harm and not caring who they pull down in the process. But let me include here what I had to say to Ali just before I realized I had to take this action.
Dear Ali, thank you for this lovely effort and dedication to serve our Lord Jesus Christ and you’re seeking His guidance to serve! I’m very touched and moved by your heart and work that you do in the community!
No suspension of our belief and faith in Jesus Christ who is always with us and to allow Him to handle what we aren’t required to, but to continue being inspired by Him to encourage and serve those in need where and when we can to also receive God’s love and hope for His children, for He alone is our Savior and Redeemer.

Post Script: A few hours after posting this blog article I received another notification about a very beautiful poem by another blogger friend which brought out the following response from me in just a few minutes which I know was because God’s will is working within us all, if we will just listen to Him in silence. The following script fits I feel, like a dovetail! I didn’t plan any of it; it all fell into place, thank God.

Excellent Robbie! Such encouragement is a powerful force for those who worry and tremble in despair, wanting to hear a voice of assurance from anywhere. Pensively they wait all cloistered in their homes, then while all shut in; they wonder if some good will soon come from within. But, at last a voice like yours breaks through that wall of fear, letting them know its OK to let out a tear; as we can rest assured we are not alone as surely the dawn will bring a reprise, when we all will witness another beautiful sunrise. 🙏🏻

Seek and You Will Find

“God doesn’t roll dice!”

I found a fellow bloggers name listed today for the first time indicating he liked my blog and is now following it. I in turn reviewed his blog and enjoyed his perspective on some topics of interest to me as well, but I immediately noticed a gap in his perception of our earthly reality. My hope here is to help bridge that gap with added insight and revelation, because we all need our own personal epiphany before we depart this short earthly life. I recognize that we humans may come from very different cultures and backgrounds that often give us different frames of reference by which we perceive the world in “varying degrees of difference” that can be similar or vastly different. But again, my hope here is to express my inner most heart and what wisdom I may have acquired in my lifetime to help others to hopefully see the TRUTH, so they won’t “miss the boat” or “not see the forest for the trees!” “This life is an unbelievable, awe inspiring amazing gift” that came from “absolute perfect eternal love” and this short opportunity or window to come to terms with some fundamental principles that we must not overlook should not be marginalized or wasted! But rather, we should with a whole heartened intent ask “the why,” because there is an answer sitting in our proverbial faces to that ancient question! And, that is why, I wrote this blog today, for this man or anyone who will listen. God Bless You.

I see where you’re coming from. I also see the deepest intrinsic value in every speck of existence as miraculous and having qualities that are not random or meaningless or having come into such balance and order by chance or random sequential events taking place at some special by happenstance moment, as I also don’t see how it all has always been as it is with no beginning or end, as we observe readily all is changing and disintegrating in this realm! Scientists know for certain and have demonstrated the “Big Bang” theory, but so too persons like the great Albert Einstein who by far one of the most extraordinary minds to have even been here on earth, told fellow physicists when having a discussion about the millisecond prior to the “Big Bang;” when one of the scientists extrapolated with all of his calculations that with enough “random events” occurring just before that “golden moment” when creation took place or the “Big Beginning,” as I call it, this scientist said these events would surely fall into the precise order required for that golden moment to take place.

Then Einstein said, “Ah, Yes my friend but you’re forgetting one thing, God doesn’t roll dice!” You see he knew and could understand by his extraordinary insights or revelation into existence, his epiphany if you will; that a creating power that vast and intelligent would undoubtedly have to exist being deliberate and intentional in all of its actions by the sheer fact of knowing all things which would by default make “each action perfect and precisely what it was meant to be” or the only thing it can be; never a mistake! My point to you and all followers here is that the mathematical probability that all of this unbelievable existence to have come into being by some unknown yet perfect event happening by chance, is basically mathematically impossible, especially when one looks at and examines closely the incredible intricacies of every bit of existence down to the atom to not see clearly that a vast intelligence is at work in all of this; which is far beyond our puny minds or almost insignificant meaningless opinions, when stacked up against what is really going on here! You and I know basically nothing in comparison and to think otherwise is complete folly and I dare say stupidity on our parts if we are to think so highly of ourselves! We only have what God has given to us and there is obviously a plan or imagination at work that will have the final say in everything here, no if’s and’s or but’s about it! Rest assured you are part of God’s plan, but our biggest task, is to recognize that, and appreciate the opportunity sitting on our laps, while then giving due respect and love back to our Creator, because that was the only reason all of this began, was out of “His infinite love.” We step outside of this plan or design attempting to make ourselves our own God, then we transgress the “OLD ONE,” as Einstein referred to him. That would be quite asinine to do, don’t you think?

Just this fact, that we can think as we attempt to comprehend and make these observations is obviously a miracle and gift from the “Divine Creator” of all things, which plainly tells us that we are meant to see, recognize and understand these fundamental facts, then to let our conscience and heart be our guide, which will lead us to Him in Love and Peace beyond measure, far beyond our present limited human comprehension. As Holy Scriptures have told us, “Seek and You Will find.”

Will You Follow Me?

The purest human heart that has ever existed

While I was writing my blog as a Lent Offering today I received a notice which turned out to actually be about a very nicely written article by a fellow Christian blogger about Lent Season, which helped to inspire me to focus my writing upon this subject with fervor and try my best to explain what my personal perception about Lent is, and making such an offering to our Father in heaven during this Lent Season.

Good advice here and words of wisdom. This got me thinking about the difficulty of separating ourselves from sin especially those sinful little pleasures we grow so accustomed to throughout the years. Such a huge challenge at times because why? Well the basic truth is we are fallen and not in a pure state of grace or good enough as we are to be in the presence of absolute holiness which God is and we are not. The good news is He created us in His image having an eternal spiritual nature within us to make us heirs, to become all we can be as members of His glorious eternal kingdom in Heaven. The gap between here and there is huge and impossible a chasm to cross on our own and another huge culprit in all of this is temptation which you helped me to think about right now during Lent! My dad would always tell me as a teen and on into my mature years, that there is too much to be had out there and it doesn’t take much to get into trouble real fast if we don’t strengthen our faith continually. And that is where you came in with this very nice blog which speaks to the directive or marching orders put before us, these orders or the edict is simple and clear; Will You Follow Me? Good Lord knows I want to and have tried and failed often enough like all of us do, sometimes appearing to be so messed up that if we had tails we certainly would be chasing them! But here is the good news, God made it so simple and guaranteed that we can be where He is in splendor and peace forever, if we as my mom always said, just keep trying our best because Jesus took all sin away and tossed it into hell where it belongs and He knows if we have sincerely tried our best or not. The purest human heart that has ever existed, completely perfect and without any sin is pleading to us to follow and does all the pleading of each of our cases before our heavenly Father to forgive us for our transgressions or lack. See that is the amazing thing God does through Jesus Christ He is searching out every heart to know it perfectly as to whether that heart belongs to Him or is running a scam or charade playing both ends against the middle, like having the best of both worlds if you will, to party it up for the short term appeasement this world can offer which the evil one uses continually against those of us who figure as far as heaven goes I’ll cross that bridge when I come to it, because Jesus is so loving and will cut me enough slack to get through the gate. Many of the politicians we actually witness these days are a prime example of this folly and deception they play with grabbing all they can now while they cause nothing but ruin and misery around them. “It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.” Matthew 19:23 Any self-serving or becoming puffed up with one’s own interests and worldly power or pleasures is guilty of this transgression from God and will never reach His kingdom following that path to perdition and eternal damnation. The polar opposite of this is what Jesus himself stated to his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me” (Luke 9:23)

I refer now to a faithful servant of Jesus who dedicated his life to serving God’s will on earth, Rev. Billy Graham.

“What did Jesus mean when He said we have to carry a cross? I’ve heard people talk about a problem they have and say it’s a cross they have to bear, but is this what Jesus meant?”

“No, this isn’t what He meant—although it’s not necessarily wrong to refer to some problem we are having as a “cross” we must bear. In Jesus’ day, a cross was a symbol of suffering, and we all have trials and afflictions that may be very hard for us to bear—even with God’s help.

But Jesus meant something far deeper than this when He told His disciples to carry their cross. He said to them, “If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me” (Luke 9:23). In Jesus’ day, a cross wasn’t just a symbol of pain and suffering; it was mainly a symbol of death. What Jesus was telling them is that they needed to put to death their own plans and desires, and then turn their lives over to Him and do His will every day.

You see, Jesus doesn’t simply call us to believe that He existed, or even to believe that He can save us. He calls on us to commit our whole lives to Him—to trust Him alone for our salvation, and then to follow Him as His disciples. He said, “Anyone who does not carry his cross and follow me cannot be my disciple” (Luke 14:27).

Is Christ the master of your life? Have you put to death your own plans and committed yourself to His will for your life? Don’t be satisfied with anything less, for there is no greater joy in life than following Christ every day”. billygraham.org

Reading Rev. Graham’s words to others who desire to know and serve Christ reminded me of something my grandfather would say many years ago when I was a boy, “don’t put off for tomorrow what you can do today!” Which leads my thoughts back to what I believe this other blogger elicited in my thoughts about lent; And that reminds me of what you’re saying here, how Lent Season should be looked upon; how we are not to waste this golden opportunity to get into alignment with the Lord!

“Go in through the narrow gate, because the gate to hell is wide and the road that leads to it is easy, and there are many who travel it.” Matthew 7:13

So yes it is a difficult road we travel but we can make it much more difficult than it need be and indeed impossible to overcome or we can make it a journey of “Fulfillment and Victory” over all that is against us, yes even death itself; to become champions at being His “humble servants” though Jesus Christ for God who is in heaven, our Father Who is waiting to embrace us in our everlasting New Life when we join Him there.

Jesus is still here leading us to the Father by His Holy Spirit, to our New and Everlasting Life if we will just follow Him our Good Shepherd.

Post Script continuation Part II

I needed to share here a potion of what I had to say to another fellow Christian blogger yesterday while having a conversation about a dog I rescued and this too also serves as evidence demonstrating how, Jesus is the Master Potter and He will shape our lives to suit what purpose our Father sees as best for each one of us as long as we turn our lives over to Jesus and are truly letting Him lead us by our right hand.

Thank you so much for having the interest in Penny and sending out all of the good thoughts you do! Yes, she was a very confused panic stricken animal when I came along, that was about to have her life taken away by a too busy not always caring world, but God gave her a chance by allowing me and Penny to act as a message of “Salvation and Hope” when God brought us together, so in time that example would be observed or even duplicated through the hearts and minds of others that hear about her story! God gave me a chance to serve as an instrument to that end appreciating life and every little blessing even more this example of Penny, because having her as a friend has actually changed me for the better too! God’s power and infinite love is at work all around us and that is where our attention should be focused as much as we possibly can.

I do believe that we children of God are much like Penny in that when she had no direction or hope, feeling that way because of her confused and lost emotional state when I found her, through what I know was “God’s deliverance and Divine Intervention.” To move from despair to hope and onto salvation! This is an example of God’s daily handiwork in our lives to shape each of us to bring about His Great Plan which is unfolding every second, He does actually have; “the whole wide world in his hands!”

The other thing that immediately captured my attention in your comment was when you mentioned Brother Lawrence and his writing who I actually never heard of and this was very intriguing to me, so I actually got to thinking about him a bit looking him up here online as I was telling you about the seagull I rescued, and now I want to read about his beautiful, as I see it methodology of communing with God continually from a very basic simple focus and complete openness with due diligence, being able to know His presence first hand and in the way that God allows one to manifest a very close relationship with Him, in what I would call a state of attuned connection with the Holy Spirit moment to moment, sort of being on the same frequency, by being free and trusting through genuine belief that He will talk to you if you are willing to let yourself go and allow Him to lead, trusting Him by faith alone. You and I do this because now I know we were meant to converse, and little special dots are being connected as we just do like this, whereby you told me about this fascinating Monk Lawrence that I’m so inspired to read about now, and will get this book of his, “The Practice of the Presence of God.”

Post Post Script continuation part III

Just today I had spoken with a sister about some events in the news and my “Lent Offering” blog which she said inspired her not only because of how it was written but that as usual I had prayed to Jesus to help me with the body of the article, from my most genuine thoughts, feelings, and desire with my heart through Him, to know what words to say and even the right photos to add which seem to come along easily. Then today an email notice had arrived at the same time my sister and I had talked, which was about one of the very topics we had been discussing since my writing the “Lent Offering” article and how this article that addressed the unfairness of President Trump’s impeachment had definite tie-in to what we discussed; but most remarkable was the fact that the photo I felt directed to add to my blog when I wrote it was of Rev. Billy Graham taken many years ago in the early days of his evangelizing which now along with the photo that accompanied the article I received about President Trump connected profoundly in my way of seeing these two photos and men; especially in spirit and intent of both men being called to a higher purpose in order to serve God for their fellow man! I see dots being connected all of the time lately as God sees best, in order to reach and help each of us to see Him and the truth he is revealing over time about our personal journeys in serving Him; our unique part that each of us has in His plan, day by day and bit by bit or as I say “dot by dot!” I’m adding the photo for your discernment and I appreciate how we are so richly blessed to be able to share this way in fellowship for Him, especially when we consider how often times we actually make it through the gauntlet of life here on earth each and every day! 3/2/2020

Here is what transpired as I began my day asking God to lead my way. Each of the people and the immediate circumstances merged in a specific direction and each part connecting to the others by Divine Providence not just my own desires but by God’s!

Early this morning just when I awoke I turned on my cell phone and saw that the time was a set of numbers that match my sisters birthday and I had just thought how maybe I should not call her and throw her off on her starting the day as I can talk too much at times and yesterday I did frustrate her a bit; so maybe to leave well enough alone would be the best thing. But even though I thought that, I felt unsettled in my heart because the love in me was wanting to reach out to her and make sure she gets off to a good start in her day not worrying if we are in a tiff or perhaps I’m not pleased with something she said yesterday. Well, no sooner did I think this and turned on the cell phone to see an answer there staring me in my face saying call her! We spoke of it and a few other things all coinciding with our circumstances and some world events we both are concerned about. We had a great conversation and she was so happy it made me very relaxed and happy as well to move ahead in the day with certainty and JOY. I then shortly after eating lunch saw an email notification about a Blog a priest had written at a Catholic site I visit which spoke to the very heart of what my sister and I had talked about early in the morning which was that God is always there and will enlighten as well as give us Hope and Guidance sometimes in very subtle ways and maybe in a very harsh turn of events in our lives but all of it is leading us to Him and the ultimate PEACE and JOY we all desperately seek and need more than anything this temporary and incomplete world with its many quagmires or difficulties can provide! Here is what I said in the priest’s blog which is titled, “God comes to us often in obscurity, through unexpected events and persons.” God bless you and may He continue to bless you to do His will on earth as in heaven! I was just talking with a sister of mine early this morning about this very subject of how we are given many such opportunities and I indeed have had this happening in my personal life profusely and knew without a doubt that God was giving me actual messages and help to see my way on the very path which I walk here on earth. He doesn’t only beckon to us but guides us always if we will only take heed and watch as well as listen to all the opportunities He provides to us, so we not stumble but move forward in our life mission to serve Him and be ever so faithful to His will. Those monumental humblest human Icons like “Thomas Aquinas” or “Joan of Arc,” were chosen but they too paid close attention as Joan even when so young to God’s subtle messages being provided and we know what great good it did in her case!

I just wrote a Blog relating to this idea along with some others recently that are attuned to this overall subject of enlightenment and I’m including the most recent about “Hope” and also “My Imitation of Christ,” here for anyone that is interested to please take a look and perhaps our heavenly Father through Jesus Christ is reaching out through your Blog and our shared words to others who just need that message or those tidbits of information to shed light upon their paths! I hope and pray this does some good for someone. Amen.

“We Never Walk Alone,” He our Creator through Jesus Christ told us He walks with us holding our right hand, and I know it for a fact from all that has happened to me over the last dozen years that I’m still here sharing my words and insights to others because He has given me all that I need and should be while on this earth to serve Him until such time that He God will take me away from this hard life to everlasting JOY and PEACE! For now I must hang in there and be in the ready to do whatever it is He asks of me one day at a time, like you even stated yourself my Friend; but never quitting and only doing what we are capable of however little or big a thing it is we can do it by having Faith in Him who gave us the greatest thing a LIFE, which is growing to be even much better than this, A Miraculous Eternity!

Footprints in the Sand, a beautiful poem!

“One night I dreamed a dream.
As I was walking along the beach with my Lord.
Across the dark sky flashed scenes from my life.
For each scene, I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
One belonging to me and one to my Lord.

After the last scene of my life flashed before me,
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.
I noticed that at many times along the path of my life,
especially at the very lowest and saddest times,
there was only one set of footprints.

This really troubled me, so I asked the Lord about it.
“Lord, you said once I decided to follow you,
You’d walk with me all the way.
But I noticed that during the saddest and most troublesome times of my life,
there was only one set of footprints.
I don’t understand why, when I needed You the most, You would leave me.”

He whispered, “My precious child, I love you and will never leave you
Never, ever, during your trials and testings’.
When you saw only one set of footprints,
It was then that I carried you.”

Interwoven into the fabric of the beautiful God given tapestry of my day came along at just the right moment another notification from a writing friend who apparently God wanted to make sure we both saw each other’s written words and do some connecting of DOTS!

Then during the unfolding of my words through Divine Providence a clear immediate purpose for them came into view and this following letter was directed to a friend in need; who like all of us can use any “inspiration that God will send.”

Dear friend and brother. This is a most beautiful masterpiece of precious love from the deepest heart expressed in a literary work of art. A gift from you to others here on earth and of course those who loved you the most who are where we can’t be until we should be with them; but they would ask us to stay on course and grow in faith that all will be made right. But, I also see that your words sound tired or weary and I feel that you are lacking the JOY of your being created in the first place my dear Friend. Seek and you will find and we are all lost in this world as we have no ultimate control over anything. We truly are in the hands of our Maker or Creator which is a truth that I know for sure and is always worth investigation by anyone who is unsure or even those that need no convincing, because we never know enough nor could we living in just a temporary imperfect state of being. I have learned through my life that even though I’ve been kicked to the curb and then beat upon by many situations, and the ones that hurt me the most were those inflicted upon me by other humans, my own race or species of beings! Yet, I still have joy in my heart because I know that the bigger picture is the key, putting things in perspective; and that there is God Almighty who will judge all things accordingly leading all of those that desire Him above all things; to an everlasting Salvation with Him and all that is good.

We must think about how grand this miraculous, mysterious so precious a gift, this life is, even with all of the pain and sorrow it is, the best thing that ever happened; an expression from a Divine Creator with “ABSOLUTE LOVE” that produced from that love a masterpiece of never-ending sharing love for intelligent gifted brothers and sisters who are and will be members of an eternal fulfilling kingdom! We must be hopeful and vigilant to get there, not giving in to sin or failure as best we can; because no matter what happens “we can make it to the promised land,” He has promised us that, and if we will seek Him out of Love for Him as well one another while asking for guidance, He will never let us down; we will be fulfilled beyond imagination!

I’m telling you after all I’ve had to deal with I would suffer it all again if I must, because I’m positive what awaits at the conclusion and after the final analysis of it all, I will be so happy and complete forever, living eternally in a glorified state of being! For now I must carry my cross.

Read my latest blog that I wrote today just before I read your latest blog here and see how God is working in our lives and we shouldn’t ignore or ever deny that fact. I will be very happy if you read my words and then after any careful timely thinking you might ask me or say anything you please; and I will be willing to help I’m sure of it. I went back to the blog I was writing before I saw your poem and decided this was all happening by Divine Providence and so I dovetailed my ideas with the thoughts provoked by the priest and his article coinciding with my personal life circumstances this morning, and then by you and your masterpiece poem! This was all ordained, and thanks be to God! The past, present and future merged in my writing again as in a previous Blog Article but this time without me doing anything fancy!

God led me to write this Blog as it should be written so it shall be His will!
