Purpose and Sacrifice

“There is no greater love than this: that a person would lay down his life for the sake of his friends”

Birds in Jungle kiss sm pint

All souls are always being tested; but like no other time the process is building to a crescendo by factors that have never existed on planet earth!

“There is no greater love than this: that a person would lay down his life for the sake of his friends.” John 15:13

“24Then Jesus told His disciples, “If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me. 25For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. 26What will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul? Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul?” Matthew 16:24-26

“32Therefore everyone who confesses Me before men, I will also confess him before My Father in heaven. 33But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father in heaven. 34Do not assume that I have come to bring peace to the earth; I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.” Matthew 10:32-34

In this present extremely technological age, a very secular materialistic self-centered global culture the occasion of a person absolutely willing to give up his own life so he could allow others to live is even more rare today; but it happens. Back in the day I was told by some World War II Veterans; that acts of courage and complete sacrifice happened as they personally witnessed some soldiers singlehandedly run straight into a machine gun nest and toss a grenade into the encampment to neutralize the enemy that had been wiping out many soldiers as they were attempting to take the hill or high ground; but in the process this selfless duty bound soldier did what needed to be done, saving many of his fellow soldiers and advanced the goal of overtaking the enemy in order to win the battle and eventually end the war!

“A dying breed, today these people are lazy; yes also arrogant and selfish.”

This past Wednesday I was at a retail shopping plaza where two major retail stores are located.  I parked my vehicle in the parking lot in front of the store where I needed to buy the items. When I was finished I had just put my supplies in the vehicle and thought I actually do need to shop in the other store, but decided I don’t need to drive my vehicle through the large parking areas to get closer to that store, because I have two legs and I’m fully capable of doing the little hike over to the other store.

After shopping there I walked out with the shopping carriage and walked to the other parking lot and unloaded those items, and because the shopping carriage was the property of the store I just purchased those items from I thought that it wouldn’t be right to leave their shopping carriage in another retail outlets parking lot.  So I wanted to take the hike through the parking lots to the front of the store and put that carriage in the area where it belongs. As I got there I suddenly saw another man coming around from behind some parked cars and trucks with a shopping carriage and he looked me straight in the eyes and said, “we’re a dying breed,” to which I replied yes that’s true people have changed, when he then said, “they’re lazy,” and I then added, very arrogant and selfish too.

I think God intended on that encounter to happen as a Godsend and it was a direct recognition of what I had been thinking about that day and much of the week, about how people have changed so much for the worse, in this present time.  I thought how I’ve seen a drastic radical change in just the years since I was a boy to now, where things have grown progressively very sad and cold, very vicious; and how people like frightened animals are getting more nasty with each other while self-preservation is ruling their thinking as well as their hearts too much; making the old adage, “it’s a dog eat dog world,” very true.  But this whole experience did fit what I had been contemplating writing in this latest essay, and served as an encouragement!

Now we come to what’s to me a very profoundly important conversation I had with a really good guy that works for the government locally who has an equally good wife and teenage children; a wonderful family!  He and I would have lengthy conversations during the most harrowing time period in my life when it seemed for all intent and purposes that I had been fighting a long battle on my own because the system and most people are too jaded, corrupted or very heartless toward even a person who has been wronged and severely damaged both physically and emotionally primarily for speaking truth and taking a stand opposing the corruption; to only bring positive change. Then as this new found ally had put it, “it’s like you’re being tested by fire.”

Purpose and Sacrifice

What did Jesus say; that there is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for another? Sacrifice, isn’t this the ultimate duty of all who wish to do God’s will in this short life or temporary existence on earth? If we are to imitate Christ during our trials and tribulations here, should we do less, than to give up what is most precious to each of us, to freely give in to that, means to an end? To make an offering of our own selves out of love and compassion for others, so that in doing this we provide an opportunity for those who receive our ultimate sacrifice, to learn and grow in their own understanding and appreciation by our example, of what this life here is really all about, so that they who are and become more enlightened can know and fully appreciate the love that God has for each of us.

thinredline

During a special conversation I had with this new friend I spoke about “The Thin Red Line,” and how I recognized that Jim Caviezel played the part of a Christ like figure named Witt; when he told the two younger recruits with him to go on ahead without him, to make their escape down the river, while he will distract the attention of the enemy, the Japanese soldiers, in order that these two innocent victims of circumstance, (they were unfairly assigned such a dangerous mission), can make their escape to safety.  But, more importantly they will learn about selfless compassionate love, what it really means; to love one another also as I have loved you.  This kind of act is obviously a moment of awakening, revelation and even rebirth. In that moment of self-actualization, those two young recruits were given the gift of continued life here in this physical plane of existence by another giving up his own precious life and blood, so that, more importantly they might go on to learn that it is not this life that is most important but rather, the Life to Come, and that what we all should recognize is that the belief of an eternal life to come is more real and precious than this temporary one could ever be.  This life is like the mere flickering of a flame in its delicate balance between light and darkness, as it dances for a short while, only to be extinguished any moment without warning or recourse into oblivion.  Not even a memory of the beautiful flickering flame of light would exist if not for the Power and Glory of God.  Only through God’s Majesty and Glory can the inner meaning of pure never ending love be found or can our lives be of any real value, for without “eternal love” there can be no “purpose” or significance to anything we perceive and experience here in the flesh.  “It’s only love that makes all of us greater than the sum total of these chemical and biological earthly forms,” and, it was the greatest love that began or sent forth this journey through time and space, in order that we may all be part of that “Glorious One’s Eternal Kingdom.” For now we are all mere babes in the woods seeking and only trying to find our way home, but, “having to learn that without love there is no way home” and more poignantly that “there is no home at all without absolute true love.”  Only God can give and only God can take away, that which was given so freely and with absolute perfection.  Yes, we all do ourselves, and, more importantly others, more good by laying down that which does not really belong to us, but, rather to God the Creator of all things.  To know God and Love God with all of our being should be our main purpose as we journey forth always seeking to do God’s will.

Witt Back stare down Japs sm print 1

As this scene in the story progresses to Witt being shot, it’s like he is suddenly seeing his life flash before him as I see it; but the place his soul is immediately experiencing on his way to heaven is seen as the time he had spent with the island children swimming under the ocean surf, so free and oblivious; quite carefree!  Which to me is reminiscent of being born, going back to that most beautiful precious time any of us have experienced in our short lives; when completely innocent in our mother’s womb!  Being in that tiny secure ocean of love and life so intimately connected and protected; insulated from the worries of the world, which once we came into it we immediately have to cry; and will many times to come!

Witt in water lg print

Witt had a mission to take those two, wet behind the ears, fresh recruits sent on a dangerous mission that would surely get them all killed once surrounded by the enemy forces up the river; but Witt foreseeing just how potentially hopeless and fatal this mission was even for experienced soldiers, offered at the last second to accompany them!  Once up the river heading into enemy fire and overwhelming numbers Witt decided that it wasn’t a fair assignment; especially not for those two young men! So he took it upon himself to give them the time they needed to get back to the platoon and safety while he distracted the enemy; drawing them away from the recruits but surely setting himself up for a fall!  He laid down his life out of love for his friends!

There were variations on this theme, like when some WWII Army recruits were only 16 having fudged a document in order to meet the minimum age requirement to enlist and even made speedy progress to become battle hardened soldiers.  One such soldier ended up in the thick of it being in some of the worst combat battles in the history of the war and singlehandedly fought off overwhelming enemy combatants in the battle field, saving many of his fellow soldiers!  One such hero was a young man that joined the Army at 16 years of age who during the war rose to the rank of 2d Lieutenant and later after the war became a Hollywood movie star; Audie Murphy!

“He was one of the most decorated American combat soldiers of World War II. He received every military combat award for valor available from the U.S. Army, as well as French and Belgian awards for heroism.” Wikipedia

Watching this longer clip of the film “The Thin Red Line” gives a better sense of the heroic sacrifice that is required by some to fulfill a purpose that God ordains in His infinite wisdom by means of His will, to those he chooses to accomplish a given purpose which ultimately brings the intrinsic meaning or purpose to our lives in a multitude of situations; which is all centered on God’s eternal love, and there are many who do His will!

Who are we to question God or His ways and purposes!  Didn’t He give up His only begotten Son our Savior Jesus Christ, to take away all the sins of the world; that all of us have and will commit! Sacrifice is crucial in all of our lives, at least on some level we should all be willing to sacrifice and give more than we receive!

Acts 20:35 “And I have shown you everything, that thus it is necessary to labor and to take care of those who are weak and to remember the words of our Lord Yeshua, who said, ‘He who gives is more blessed than he who receives.’”

Deborah I was so touched and moved by this posting of yours, and even got tears in my eyes; thinking of the young girl you were back then having to feel such shame or ridicule in such a tender, gentle, innocent heart with so much love in it!

Yet you carried on with God’s Holy Spirit guiding you and giving you courage, as you would not let go of that one hand of Salvation that you held onto regardless of what this mean and ugly “Ways of the World” was saying; you would not let Jesus be taken away from you, so you endured the pain and sadness brought on by others so that you could be right where you are now; doing God’s will! Amen!

Thank you for your courage and most of all for your abiding, beautiful Faith in our Savior Jesus Christ who will save anyone that turns to Him in humility on bent knee and asks to receive His gift of eternal Love! Amen.
God bless you and yours!

Don’t hide it. I remember when I was in high school, I felt too ashamed to carry the Bible. Most of the Bibles we had back then were big ones. You can’t carry one inconspicuously. Yes, I felt too embarassed to carry a Bible. Most of my friends did not carry the Bible along and seeing one wih a big Bible on hand gave a kind of different impression. They all tend to think you are that godly, angelic, holy saint. And then they would treat you like one until you make one mistake. It puts a great social pressure plus some laughs at you for carrying a Bible. I was definitely hiding my faith. Scared of what people thought of me. As for my beliefs, I wasn’t assertive about it either. I was not the kind who talks about Jesus unless a friend asked me about God and what…

“Thy Kingdom Come”
The signs are so evident and clear for those that wish to see! Only open your eyes and look at this more than troubled world, this falling world, and you see its now apparent limitations mounting up to a dead end! The parameters of maintaining the success of the whole of it, its populations, ecosystems, life sustaining raw materials and even the means of keeping it all, is an exercise in futility! Its fundamental essence intact being unattainable, is too obvious to ignore as now even the battle ensues by those that desecrate and attack the word of God and His Church; which is the sign that clearly spells out the end of this world is fast approaching, as men once again as in ancient times in massive numbers reject God, even defile and put themselves above Him!

It’s all too obvious to me that time is running out quickly for all of us and this is the time to not falter but hold fast your faith in Him, it’s so obvious that there is nothing else that can be trusted to provide comfort and security from what is coming to this world; as the most powerful among us try to hoard or consolidate all the earthly riches they can, thinking that will protect them or give them some measure of longevity they prove themselves the jokers in the deck; as they mock themselves in spades the biggest losers; as they separate and move furthest away from God’s Church to join the condemned and damned of this passing world!

Look and see, then decide quickly, where you stand while you can; because the time is at hand. Thanks to God in the highest, He who gives to all abundantly, but He only takes His own with Him into the “New and Everlasting Kingdom Come.” Amen.

My new paradise will become the world without end – as foretold

2014.04.17   21:00

My dearly beloved daughter, My resurrection from the dead happened for a reason. It did not take place simply to prove My Divinity to those who did not accept who I was. Up to that time, souls who died could not enter heaven. They had to wait.

But, no sooner had My resurrection taken place, than they were given new life in My kingdom. My resurrection brought eternal life for souls and death, therefore, would no longer have a hold over the human race. My resurrection will be truly evident at My Second Coming, for then all those souls, who died in me and for me, will also be raised from the dead and be given eternal life.

They will rise in body and soul, in perfect union with the will of God and they will live in…

Fear Not For I Am With You.

“Jesus is the One” whose death and resurrection brings “eternal life to all who believe”

Fear Not For I Am With You.

As back in the time of our Lord today in 2021 the wicked ways of the world and that serpent the Devil have shuttered and put a damper or fear into the people with the global falsehood Covid catastrophe, to turn people away from Jesus Christ and the faith and to bow to the earthly power of the government or the many elite (emperors)and swear allegiance to this earthly system, with even talk of vaccine passports with the wearing of masks to cover the face and thus the visual identity of a person; to make one insignificant and to show trust only in the great world system with its power and supposed experts!  Of course as back in the time of Jesus Christ just like those earthly powers then sought to mislead; this is all a lie to deceive and control God’s children with fear.

Secularism or materialism coupled with a culture of death is a dark scourge upon our Nations and we have to pray we can free ourselves and indeed our societies from the powerful grip it has on it; distracting so many people from seeing the plain simple truth right in their faces!  Instead many are attracted to corruptions, sin, decadence, falsehoods and outright immorality; an antichrist movement, which is the road to perdition!

God is there to help us with our earthly living and who knows better than God what all of this is about. He directs us to do the best thing if we are truly receptive to Him, and also trying our best to do the right thing.

Look and see plainly where our society is now, a place in which an entitled group of bigoted lying criminals that are untouchables and in return spawned new criminal acts using those previous examples as templates to get away with doing wrong! All those former transgressions should have been nipped in the bud and been prosecuted to the full extent of the law to conviction; Rule of Law must apply for all equally just like Due Process is a given or should be. We want innocent people not being victimized but equally we want the guilty to pay for their crimes. This is what makes a society good and worth its salt.

But now more often than not we’re in a place where the unjust or most crooked among us can be elevated to positions of great earthly authority, even a President; as has happened here in America.

Many people perhaps feeling helpless or confused and scared want to be led to a place of assurance and comfort, and they love to invest themselves into some person who comes across as sure and strong with that article of great need by so many, wisdom; insight and knowledge of the Truth!  What is the Truth and can we be sure of it when we think we have found it!  In some things we can with practical knowledge and scientific logic break things down into the component parts and get the whole picture of what makes a thing what it is or tick.

Matthew 25:21 NIV says, “His master replied, ‘Well done my good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!”

“Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” (Isaiah 5:20).

Something Billy Graham said once rings with Truth very clearly to me.  “Humanity has always been dexterous at confusing evil with good. That was Adam and Eve’s problem, and it is our problem today. If evil were not made to appear good, there would be no such thing as temptation. It is in their close similarity that the danger lies.

Modern social righteousness often differs from the righteousness of the Bible. Someone has said: “A wrong deed is right if the majority of people declare it not to be wrong.” By this principle we can see our standards shifting from year to year according to the popular vote! Divorce was once frowned upon by society, and laws against fornication and adultery were strictly enforced. But now divorce is accepted by society, and fornication is glorified in our literature and films.” https://billygraham.org/decision-magazine/june-2012/confusing-evil-with-good/

I think genuine humility is a great thing; I think of Dismas on the cross next to Jesus and his humility was powerful to the Lord because as we know he told Dismas, “Truly I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.” Luke 23:43

Another man considered a Saint now, who has to this day a profound effect on me and so many other’s is former Pope John Paul II who was a very good man with a “humble heart” and disposition, so to me he was offering these same kind of insights and basic truths to anyone; telling us to give our hearts to Jesus Christ.

I don’t think God intended on giving enough morsels of information and truth to leave us still so hampered and blind to what we must understand to some substantial level in order to now in these most troubled times to make the mistake of giving up, or maybe never satisfied. I like you too am observing the near outright chaos happening in our country and around the planet lately seeing the shaky flimsy balance of societies, while there are those agents within that promote the same, making matters exponentially worse; how it seems likely that perhaps anarchy is right around the next corner as we travel down this road of life on earth these days. We as Christians agree that God has it all covered, but, He gives us so many blessings or opportunities to shape up and take the initiative that we should, to be “devoutly faithful” and in prayer often, so that we maintain our own path to salvation, but just as important inspire others to do the same by setting a good example as we do it; especially in this topsy-turvy time of conflict and confusion where it’s so sorely lacking.

Here is an excerpt of something I was saying in one of my recent blogs regarding Big Pharma that I believe says something fitting here.

“An antichrist entity out to subdue, control, ruin and destroy countless lives and ultimately souls.”  With this type of culture at work around the planet with absolutely secularism running rampant, promoting and being facilitated by Big Tech now every second of every day on a massive scale not promoting God or anything to do with Him, but rather, “faith in technology” as God, and “Government coupled with High Tech” being our true savior, a narrative that’s saying the ways of the world and man himself are the only thing this side of heaven that can help us and do us any good!” This imposter savior which is like the Totalitarianism we see in China and other countries!

“Humility and Trust” in the Lord, are the essential factors to weather any storm or hardship we as mere children of God may face. As He has told us, we need to keep growing in our faith; and to remember this that our Lord and Savior said.

“Be not afraid, for with thee I am, Look not around, for I am thy God, I have strengthened thee, Yea, I have helped thee, yea, I upheld thee, With the right hand of My righteousness.” Isaiah 41:10

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6

Yea, He is with us always, as now to support, strengthen and guide us to everlasting victory!  We can rest assured of that, and know this world has no claim upon us, his faithful; His victory made certain of it!  And all that is unholy and not of the Father He will cast into the lake of fire when the final judgment comes; so there is truly nothing to fear, our victory has been assured and we rise up to the father with Him, our ever-loving glorious Savior Jesus Christ!  Amen.

This is what it all comes down to; “Let not your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me. 2 In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. 3And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you to Myself; that where I am, {there} you may be also. 4 And you know the way where I am going. 5 Thomas said to Him, Lord, we do not know where You are going, how do we know the way? 6 Jesus said to him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me” (John14:1-6).

The death of our Lord is God’s way to heaven; it’s the only means by which we can live forever with Christ. Death, once our enemy, is defeated. Death cannot keep us from God; Christ’s death draws us to Him! Apostle Paul said, “For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain. But if I am to live on in the flesh, this will mean fruitful labor for me; and I do not know which to choose. But I am hard-pressed from both directions, having the desire to depart and be with Christ, for that is very much better.” Philippians 1:21-23.

“Therefore, being always of good courage, and knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord–for we walk by faith, not by sight–we are of good courage, I say, and prefer rather to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord.” 2 Corinthians 5:6-8.

Jesus encouraged His disciples and all the faithful as He assured them that His death was going to be the means by which they would be with Him forever in Paradise. His death was not the problem, it was the only solution. So the Truth is our Lord’s death did not create any problem, it actually solved the greatest problem we all face being fallen and having the stain of sin; which can only provide death.  If Jesus had not been separated from the Apostles and all of us this way, by His death for all sins, they and we would die in our sins and thusly be separated from Him forever; which is too horrible to contemplate!  Jesus’ going, His death, paid the price or ransom for men’s sins, so that we can live forever in His presence. Amen.

The disciples did not understand Jesus at the time just prior to His crucifixion, but they did after His resurrection from the dead. They then went on and preached to all who would listen that “Jesus is the One” whose death and resurrection brings “eternal life to all who believe.” They no longer feared His death, as they had previously; just as we should not fear anything now in our uncertain world; even our own death, if we have faith in Him; we know we will gain life by losing this one.  The Apostles then as we now; have received the greatest Truth!

Where, O Death, your sting? Where, O Death [[or Hades]], your victory?” 1 Corinthians 15:55

God bless you.

This Shared Responsibility

“full of mercy and love for us,”

Thank you very much for this great thought on preparation for those faithful who are so devoted and humble that they do suffer during this period, just before the most beautiful and incomparable joyous gift we can ever be given; that of the Resurrection on Easter Sunday of our Sweet Lord, Savior and Redeemer Jesus Christ; who saves us also from the sting of death!

I’m a firm believer in facing reality or the music as the old adage goes!  Too many people today are trying to live like the proverbial ostrich with its head stuck in the ground to avoid facing the Truth!

Here are a group of my thoughts and ideas that apply here as they do speak to several of the events and circumstances of Holy Week leading up to Jesus Christ’s crucifixion as I have explained in several writings of mine lately.

For years now I watch the Mel Gibson film “The Passion of The Christ” which even Saint John Paul the II said at the time of its release, “that is how it was,” and I know for a fact it’s true, because God chose Mel to make that film when he did!  And every Easter I watch it alone which makes me cry or actually weep like a child throughout the entire film, I just got a woozy stomach and started to tear saying this here to you. “Peter denied Him a first time but did not shed a tear because the Lord’s gaze did not meet his.” I think for me and perhaps all humans that really care they spend their whole life practically doing what Saint Peter did, denying Jesus, even if we think we don’t because don’t forget Peter was right there living with Jesus and was His first or lead disciple; and he did!

Did crowds of people rush the captors of Jesus or riot and demand this “Good Shepherd Jesus” be set free or after his death in revulsion of what was done to Him; no, not even the Apostles sacrificed themselves to stop what had to happen, it was God’s will, because even if they wanted to stop this injustice it wasn’t their place to do so, nor could they have overpowered the legions of soldiers if they tried; so it was futile just like humanity’s ever being freed from death and oblivion; without the death of Jesus Christ!  Although some time later some of the Apostles faced a test of their faith and devotion to Jesus as did many saints and martyrs over the ages; and they would not relent, so were tortured and put to death!  The whole world and its corrupt ways produced His crucifixion and handed Him over to Pilate, whether as active participants or by default of all humans being fallen, and not being worthy to be in the presence and glory of Almighty God in His absolute perfection!

Romans 3: 10-12, “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.

12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.”

But when I watch that true to life depiction of Christ, I shudder and cry with my quilt, as I’m starting to do already again and just with the memory of the film while knowing and seeing my quilt! Oh my God!  I’m sorry!  Please forgive me for being so wrong and not appreciating every minute you have given me in this fallen world; to come to terms with my sin knowing I don’t deserve you, but yet you love me this much that you wait as long as it takes to call me home, and I follow your call to your heart of hearts! Thank you Jesus! I cry now again; because I see your endless love!

I see how Barabbas was significantly to be seen as a son of the crooked world system, or “ways of the world” while the “Holy One Jesus” was contrasting or clashing if you will with not only the false Son Barabbas but with the “ways of the world” and the whole world system. But more profound in all of this is not so much the semantics of a few words being totally and perfectly translated, but instead that here as Peter had done, when he denied Christ Jesus; the whole world system and the people of the world denied Him at that moment when Pilate washed his hands of Him as did the world with him; making us all equally guilty and carrying sin to our own graves, while He Jesus Christ had none, not even a curse word; because Jesus was not of this “crooked world” so the only Truth that can be drawn from this confrontation is that Jesus rejects the sinful world in this departure sentencing and the people that live by it instead of by the Father’s will;  because even with the smallest of sins we are all contaminated by the ways of the world and doomed as creatures of it!  And therefore the world or those people in it then and and now were doomed hands down, even if unconsciously wanting to wash their hands of “Him,” just as Pilate did; so thus they too sealed the deal of the fallen world and all in it being doomed outright; while Jesus the Lamb of God would be raised from it; pure as the driven snow!

Because Jesus was not part of this world; he then sets in stone the direct path to the Father by He being the only being (The Savior) that could create this bridge that will allow us to cross the impossible chasm from oblivion to everlasting life and peace, by His offering to any who will believe in Him; God’s planned gift of Salvation!

This had to be the only way it could be completed, rejection going both ways then the “Resurrection”  would be in the offering until the end of the world to any who will turn to Jesus Christ as their personal Savior; as He would be absolutely and purely the only means of forgiveness of sin and the resurrection to eternal life with the Father, our Maker. Like cutting the cord, then the “testing” out of all souls began.

I have always felt that this can be readily seen in the Mel Gibson film “The Passion of The Christ” and the scene where Pilate washes his hands both literally and figuratively of the matter and basically throws Jesus to the lions in a manner of speaking and condemns himself with Barabbas and all humans; at that point dooming all of humanity!  But, His death on the cross, would now give us all the gift of resurrection with Him; if we will accept it!

So I have no problem with anything here because I visualize the event quite clearly and see the intent and significance of all actions and behavior being exactly as they “were meant to be” to clearly illustrate why and what it would mean to all humanity moving forward!

Today I see my governments leaders or politicians not any different than those Pharisees, minions and Barabbas, as many are living in a totally narcissistic pagan way while some pretend to worship God through Jesus like a Pelosi, Biden and Harris among countless others, but they really don’t, and are the true hypocrites as they worship this world and power with great wealth; in other words Satan. It really hasn’t changed because as back then so many if not all would deny Jesus at one time or another during their lives; today the same thing is happening in spades with so many living lives of luxury and decadence, usually with ill-gotten moreover gluttonous gains; the crooked ways of the world, many Barabbas’

Turning for a moment our thoughts to the traitor Judas, who desecrated the sign of friendship making it an instrument of death. His kiss of death just like many Mafioso bosses would do when a hit was put out for one of their own!

This idea does strike me as a sharp reminder of the duality of us humans, who often times break promises and vows of all kinds and backstab or betray so easily!  Or lie when it’s to our advantage, so we may think at the time even saying, a little white lie won’t hurt anyone! Heinous betrayal such as this act by Judas is most egregious but people do it every day!  Of course they don’t sentence Jesus Christ to crucifixion, or do they?  Could it be that Judas represented many of us; a piece of every one of us, because we all sold Jesus out being of this fallen nature and subject to the ways of the world and Satan’s influence; so aren’t we all responsible for His unimaginable  suffering and pain unto a horrible languishing death?

We all owe everything to God Almighty, and we could never repay Sweet Jesus on that cross at Calvary for what He had to do, in order to follow the Father’s will; who offers each and every one of us the gift to be Redeemed, making us sanctified and pure so that we can be in the presence of our Heavenly Father!

Mark 12:30, Jesus tells us that our first responsibility is to Him, “And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.” This same theme is reiterated many places in the Bible (Deuteronomy 6:5, 13:3, 30:6; Matthew 22:37; Luke 10:27).

Or are we looking deeper into the heart of our simple existence here on earth to see the “profound reality” that much, much more is going on than meets the eye!  The Holy Scriptures say “Seek” and you will find, (7 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.” Matthew 7:7-12)

It’s getting more obvious to me as I’m sure you as we grow older that we all come up short changed or even broke, if we depend on mere temporary earthly contentment’s or pleasures to fill us; virtually an impossible fool’s errand.  But, with a caveat I say we should always try to make the best of what we have and be eternally grateful just for that, indeed our next breath is a miraculous gift; and then seek Him the Divine and Everlasting to satisfy our every dream and need in His kingdom to come!  I’m sure I’ll see you there as long as I keep trying my best, that’s all He expects of any of us!  Amen.

This is such great hope and encouragement for any of us to remember that the gate into heaven is narrow and the road to hell is wide; but, our heavenly Father who knows all things is “full of mercy and love for us,” so “there is always hope” even for the lowly criminal or worst sinner if he can see the error of his ways and repent turning his heart over to our Father in heaven in the holy name of Jesus Christ!  Our Lord Jesus Christ knows us, and “when we stand before Him there will be no fooling Him, but there will also be no denying of His own.”  That is a promise He made to us!  We should pray we are so worthy when we see Him!

God doesn’t expect us to be rocket scientists but he only expects us to see the “Plain Truth” before our eyes and what is in our hearts; so that even “the simplest of minds can understand” what He is saying to us!  I truly hope this helps you and anyone that wants to “open their heart to Christ more fully and love, worship and adore Him with all their strength.” I say cry for him, not only because of all the suffering He took for us, which does cause me to cry when I think of the Passion film or absolutely when I watch it tomorrow; but even more for the “Amazing Grace” and “Beauty” of His “Heart of Hearts” to love us the way He does!  This is making me cry now to say all this; it is the Plain Truth when we see the gift and love in our hearts and minds this way; you can’t help but “cry for Him being so beautiful and kind, to we; who are so unworthy!” Amen.

God Bless you!

Zero Lift-Off Only The Beginning

Mark 12:30, “And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.”

“Our thoughts turn to the traitor Judas, who, on this very day, profaned the sign of friendship by making it an instrument of death.”

This line does strike me as a sharp reminder of the duality of us humans who often times break promises and vows of all kinds!  Or lie when it’s to our advantage, so we may think at the time even saying, a little white lie won’t hurt anyone! Heinous betrayal such as this act by Judas is most egregious but people do it every day!  Of course they don’t sentence Jesus Christ to crucifixion, or do they?  Could it mean that Judas represented many of us; a piece of every one of us, because we all sold Jesus out being of this fallen nature and subject to the ways of the world and Satan’s influence; so aren’t we all responsible for His unimaginable  suffering and pain unto a horrible languishing death?

If three men go into a bank and rob it while a fourth man is outside watching from the getaway car isn’t he as guilty of bank robbery when they all get caught!

We all owe everything to God Almighty, and we could never repay Sweet Jesus on that cross at Calvary for what He had to do, in order to follow the Father’s will; who offers each and every one of us to be Redeemed, making us sanctified and pure so that we can be in the presence of our Heavenly Father!

“The Church omits, today, the sign of fraternal charity, it would too painfully remind us of sacrilegious hypocrisy.”

As now the world  and even our beloved Church is full of Hypocrisy as we have borne witness to politicians and Bergoglio joining hands in this hypocrisy, even with Islam who wants Christendom wiped off the face of the earth with Jews and all other religion too!

Did crowds of people rush the captors of Jesus or riot and demand this Good Shepherd Jesus be set free or after his death; no not even the Apostles sacrificed themselves to stop what had to happen because even if they wanted to stop this injustice it wasn’t their place to do so, nor could they have overpowered the legions of soldiers if they tried; so it was futile just like humanity’s ever being freed from death and oblivion without the death of Jesus Christ! The whole world and its corrupt ways produced His crucifixion and handed Him over to Pilate whether as active participants or by default of all humans being fallen, and not being worthy to be in the presence and glory of Almighty God in His absolute perfection!

Romans 3: 10-12, “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.

12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.”

Amen.

So we must first and foremost ask ourselves are we willingly being deceived and led astray by the many temptations and the glitter of the fool’s gold or snares of this world?

Or are we looking deeper into the heart of our simple existence here on earth to see the profound reality that much, much more is going on than meets the eye!

You know the old adage of “get up, brush yourself off and get moving again.”  This life is a proving ground, and we all go through trials and tribulations.

Let’s reflect on this great parable Jesus gave to us!

The Prodigal Son Parable in the book of Luke 15:11-32: 11 And he said, “There was a man who had two sons. 12 And the younger of them said to his father, ‘Father, give me the share of property that is coming to me.’ And he divided his property between them. 13 Not many days later, the younger son gathered all he had and took a journey into a far country, and there he squandered his property in reckless living.”

Basically this younger son was so foolish and threw caution and reason to the wind wasting all that his father had given to him!  Of course in time he realized what a fool he had been and that his father’s servants were better off, so thinking he should return to his father and admit his error perhaps his father would allow  him to at least be kept as a servant, which would obviously be better than being a vagabond or beggar!

On his journey back to his father, “still a long way off, his father saw him and felt compassion, and ran and embraced him and kissed him. 21 And the son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son. 22 But the father said to his servants, ‘Bring quickly the best robe, and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet. 23 And bring the fattened calf and kill it, and let us eat and celebrate. 24 For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found.’  And they began to celebrate.”

Obviously this is to illustrate that our Heavenly Father who knows and understands all things holds out for us if we have run amuck or been led astray to awaken from our doing wrong because learning from a mistake and growing in wisdom is achieved if genuinely felt in the heart which to God is a most pleasing thing for any of us to achieve. as we are all fallen and none are worthy or righteous, and to rise above sin or transgression and be sincerely sorry is an act of courage and shows character!

Remember how Jesus at Calvary told the condemned sinner and criminal on His right side as they were being crucified, “I say to you today, you will be in paradise with me!”  A despot heathen criminal who in his final opportunity saw the light and truth and showed genuine sorrow and faith to Jesus our Father and that was something Jesus would not deny being rewarded; just as the prodigal son’s father saw in his son true remorse or repentance, and how it was a blessing that he came back into the light and fold or the family!

But, in all of this the older brother who had followed his father’s ways and fallen into line all of his adult life was shaken by all this praise heaped upon the wayward younger brother!  He was asked to join the celebration that ensued.

“But he was angry and refused to go in.  His father came out and entreated him, 29 but he answered his father, ‘Look, these many years I have served you, and I never disobeyed your command, yet you never gave me a young goat that I might celebrate with my friends. 30 But when this son of yours came, who has devoured your property with prostitutes; you killed the fattened calf for him!’ 31 And he said to him, ‘Son, you are always with me, and all that is mine is yours. 32 It was fitting to celebrate and be glad, for this your brother was dead, and is alive; he was lost, and is found.’’

This is such great hope and encouragement for any of us to remember that the gate into heaven is narrow and the road to hell is wide; but, our heavenly Father who knows all things is full of mercy and love for us, so there is always hope even for the lowly criminal or worst sinner if he can see the error of his ways and repent turning his heart over to his Father in heaven!  Our Lord Jesus Christ knows us, and when we stand before Him there will be no fooling Him, but there will also be no denying of His own.  That is a promise He made to us!  We should pray we are so worthy when we see Him!

But, clearly the takeaway in all that I say here is that we are all lost and yet all found, because our Father in heaven knows us all better than anyone can and is always calling out to us watching from afar!

Most important is that Jesus Christ promised that those who have faith in Him and abide in His living word that He will be with us to the end and forever!  He is definitely with us and this is a “short ride;” so I often wonder how I wasted so much time!  I really have to kick myself in the behind for that one; so much more I could have done better!  But, the good news is there is, no better time than the present, today, right now; to make the biggest impact!  It’s a collective building power of faith, which can get over any mountain and make the impossible possible!  Amen to that.

God bless you.

Last Supper – Valentin de Boulogne (1625–26)

The Church intends, on this day, to renew, in a most solemn manner, the mystery of the Last Supper: for our Lord Himself, on this occasion of the institution of the Blessed Sacrament, said to His Apostles: Do this for a Commemoration of Me (St. Luke, xxii. 15). Let us, therefore, resume the Gospel narrative.

Jesus is in the Supper chamber, where the Paschal Lamb is to be eaten. All the Apostles are with Him; Judas is there, also, but His crime is not known to the rest. Jesus approaches the table, on which the Lamb is served. His Disciples stand around him. The ceremonies prescribed by God to Moses are religiously observed. At the beginning of the repast, Jesus speaks these words to His Apostles: With desire I have desired to eat this Pasch with you, before I suffer (St. Luke, xxii. 15). In saying this, He does not imply that the Pasch of this year is intrinsically better than those that have preceded it; but, that it is dearer to Him, inasmuch as it is to give rise to the institution of the new Pasch, which He has prepared for mankind, and which He is now going to give them as his last gift: for as St. John says, having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them unto the end (St. John, xiii. 1).

The Mass of Maundy Thursday is one of the most solemn of the Year; and although the Feast of Corpus Christi is the day for the solemn honouring the mystery of the Holy Eucharist, still, the Church would have the anniversary of the Last Supper to be celebrated with all possible splendour. The colour of the vestments is white, as it is for Chrismas Day and Easter Sunday; the decorations of the Altar and Sanctuary all bespeak joy: and yet, there are several ceremonies during this Mass, which show that the holy Spouse of Christ has not forgotten the Passion of her Jesus, and that this joy is but transient. The Priest entones the Angelic Hymn, Glory be to God in the highest! and the Bells ring forth a joyous peal, which continues during the whole singing of the heavenly Canticle: but, from that moment, they remain silent, and their long silence produces, in every heart, a sentiment of holy mournfulness. But why does the Church deprive us, for so many hours, of the grand melody of these sweet bells, whose voices cheer us during the rest of the year? It is to show us, that this world lost all its melody and joy when its Saviour suffered and was crucified. Moreover, she would hereby remind us, how the Apostles, (who were the heralds of Christ, and are figured by the Bells, whose ringing summons the Faithful to the House of God,) fled from their Divine Master and left him a prey to His enemies.

The Holy Sacrifice continues as usual; but at the solemn moment of the Elevation of the Holy Host and the Chalice of Salvation, the Bell is silent, and, outside the Church, there is not given to the neighbourhood the usual signal of the descent of Jesus upon the Altar. When the time of the Holy Communion is near, the Priest does not give the Kiss of Peace to the Deacon, who, according to the Apostolic tradition, should transmit it, by the Subdeacon, to those that are about to communicate. Our thoughts turn to the traitor Judas, who, on this very day, profaned the sign of friendship by making it an instrument of death. It is out of detestation for this crime, that the Church omits, today, the sign of fraternal charity, it would too painfully remind us of sacrilegious hypocrisy.

Another rite, peculiar to today, is the Priest’s consecrating two Hosts during the Mass. One of these he receives in Communion; the other he reserves, and reverently places it in a Chalice, which he covers with a veil. The reason of this is, that, tomorrow, the Church suspends the daily Sacrifice. Such is the impression produced by the anniversary of our Saviour’s Death, that the Church dares not to renew, upon her Altars, the immolation which was then offered on Calvary: or rather, her renewal of it will be by the fixing all her thoughts on the terrible scene of that Friday Noon. The Host reserved from today’s Mass, will be her morrow’s participation. This rite is called the Mass of the Presanctified, because, in it, the Priest does not consecrate, but only receives the Host consecrated on the previous day. Formerly, as we shall explain more fully further on, the holy Sacrifice was not offered up on Holy Saturday, and yet the Mass of the Presanctified was not celebrated, as it was on the Friday.

The Stripping of the Altars

As soon as Vespers are over, the Celebrant returns to the Sanctuary, assisted by the Deacon and Subdeacon. He goes to the altar, and takes off the cloths and ornaments. This ceremony signifies the suspension of the Holy Sacrifice. The altar should be left in this denuded state, until the daily offering can again be presented to the Divine Majesty…. He is now in the hands of his enemies.. who are about to strip him of his garments, just as we strip the Altar. He is to be exposed naked to the insults of the rabble…

Not This Man but Barabbas by Albrecht Dürer, c. 1520 [Brighton and Hove Museums and Art Galleries, UK]

In their respective narratives of our Lord’s Passion, all four Gospels mention the crowd’s election of Barabbas over Jesus. That choice comes at the end of Pontius Pilate’s half-hearted attempt to free Christ. It is the moment of the crowd’s definitive rejection of Christ and embrace of evil.

The whole account captures human sinfulness in just a few verses. Pilate puts before the crowd first “Jesus Barabbas” (Mt 27:17) – that is, “Jesus, son of the father” – and then Jesus, the eternal Son of the Father. The crowd must choose either the real Son of the Father or His counterfeit, the true Sonship or the false. Its choice of the counterfeit and false summarizes our sinfulness.

Mary meets Jesus on the way to Calvary

All thanks and glory to God Almighty! The message is made clear for all to share and bring closer to their own hearts and share in the agony and ecstasy of Holy Mary the Mother of God Jesus Christ and the Church!

These words I must quote sharpened my own insight tremendously!

“Some new area of the soul is touched that before was virginal to grief. In each dolor it is the Son Who is the executioner, but He always makes His edge the sharper.”

I see in this how when Jesus said, “Who is my mother?” They are my mother.” (Matthew 12:46-50) Yes, if we are to pick up our own crosses and carry them as we follow Christ we are Joining Mary in carrying the cross of Jesus Christ though metaphorically if it is done with genuine humility and sorrow for having our own stain of sin which caused our all loving God to suffer this way carrying all sin and transgression for our sake’s then we should surely offer up ourselves in like manner with all of our love; being then truly worthy to help carry His cross in carrying our own. And as we do this a new area of our souls is touched as we proceed, bringing a brand new dimension to our grief; but also our love for Him!

“If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.” Luke 9:23,

Apostle Paul reminded us, “Whatever was to my profit I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things.” Philippians 3:7-8

“Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.” (Matthew 25:40

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6

I think the mention of the Mel Gibson film “The Passion of the Christ” is perfect as I too have thought over the years how this imagery is very helpful in perceiving the reality of Christ and His suffering with that crucifixion bringing home how much God loves us but also pointing to our responsibility both in causing His need to be crucified and our appropriate and only gesture of love which is to share in carrying His cross as or with our own; as you explained so beautifully is what Mother Mary did, whom we should hope to emulate even a little if we can! Her suffering and grief is unimaginable to me and I do weep and suffer each Easter when I watch this film; but Mary so full of grace and a Mother’s love of our Savior her Son, must have been experiencing something I can only as you mention scratch the surface of with all my earnest effort!

This is what I recently said regarding this precise matter in another of your fine CP&S articles.
I cry now again; because I see your endless love!”
https://lawrencemorra.com/2021/03/18/the-power-of-tears/

But now I want to say that everything I’ve written here and this article, I do see serving one paramount purpose which is shining so brightly and that is “to help bring upstanding of how important it is for any of us to gain an increased connection to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” “By appreciating how Mother Mary connected to His suffering and agony for us;” in a way we can never come close to doing as she did, but yet “we can gain a fuller appreciation of that suffering” which is essential to the faithful who genuinely with all humility seek to love and appreciate the gift of Salvation; while getting closer to Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

CP&S comment. Yesterday, Friday in Passion Week, we celebrated the Seven Sorrows of Our Lady. Today, Saturday, always traditionally dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary, let’s concentrate on the pain and anguish of her Immaculate Heart when she met her beloved Son, savagely scourged and crowned with a crown of vicious thorns, as He struggled under her weight of the Cross on His way to Calvary. Could we even scrape the surface of the agony Mary suffered at that moment?

It is also the Fourth Station of the Way of the Cross.

(from Father Z’s blogin 2019)

It is entirely reasonable that if Mary was at the foot of the Cross, then she was also somewhere along the route upon which our bleeding and beaten Savior was flogged and cruelly compelled. It is entirely reasonable that she would have raised her voice and, so, the Lord spotted her…

Officer Eric Talley, RIP

God bless the soul of Eric Talley!
I really feel in my heart more that heaven awaits for those that are good and forgiven when I see something so tragic like this happen; just like any innocent life being extinguished in any evil act of random violence! I just know that Heaven waits, because to me that is the only thing that can make any sense of such horrific stupid waste of life and a good beautiful future for this man and all the others who were slain.  In other words they are all so much better off than all of us now, because they are with God and Jesus in heaven; I feel it and know we are the one’s hurting and suffering having to carry on in this almost God forsaken horribly sinful evil world we now have! I see not just this tragedy today but the countless one’s happening right now that won’t get a shred of news coverage or any attention!  Horrific acts of violence and hate are being carried out by the hour and even the minute in this fallen world that the Prince of Darkness rules for a time! So let’s keep in mind that God’s Mercy is greater than His judgment and that His endless love and Mercy are providing eternal peace and happiness that none of us has experienced yet; but Officer Talley and the other individuals all are, so they are fine!

Yes, you are correct about CNN, they will politicize to no end just like all of the other minions of the left, globalist, NWO, antichrist agenda minions that get so much attention these days!  As a matter of fact the wicked fraud Puppet POTUS Joe Biden has already started by jumping on the old Dem strategy and talking point of banning any rifles that look intimidating or have magazines, or even guns period, they try to disarm good law abiding citizens; while playing how they are looking to solve a problem that gets so much press, but in fact they are the ones causing more death and ruin all around like they did with being a huge part of the Plan-Demic along with wasting four years while creating so much divisiveness making up a false Russian Collusion Hit Job to take down Trump a coup d’état of a duly elected President, which Biden and Harris are not; at any cost even committing acts of treason which none of them are being held accountable for any of their major crimes; yet these dirty criminal politicians get on a soap box and preach how they will fix a problem when “they are the problem” and just plain hypocrites!  It’s worse than the pot calling the kettle black here folks; it’s like the Devil coming along and saying any one of us is a horrible sinner; so I say what does that make him for all the evil he has done throughout time!

This same evil will again proceed with blaming the weapons when in fact the problem is something entirely different; which is the people are sick, twisted, evil or even programmed that do these things, very nefarious forces at work, I dare say even demonic possession; so no law abiding good citizen should be penalized because of that!  It would be nice to see “The Whole Truth and Nothing But the Truth Prevail” and show the world exactly what is happening, and stop all of this three ring circus propaganda that has been going on 24/7 365 days a year that we decent citizens have to wade through daily to find a bit of the TRUTH! I really do hate the MSM and I worked in it at one time and though it was bad then, I had reason to be disgusted, but now I do loath it; it’s part of the ugly underbelly of evil in this world, and the stars in it make so many millions, which says a lot about what that industry is really about!  HIDEOUS!  Mostly lies and propaganda! This is a demented ugly world and getting worse all of the time. This could even be an orchestrated act to facilitate the NWO agenda of Totalitarian CONTROL!  That will bring on the Antichrist!

God bless you all.
We need Jesus now so badly! Amen.

God Bless the Souls of All those who lost their lives in this tragic mass shooting.  Blessings to all their families, I ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord Savior and Redeemer. Amen.

Catholicism Pure & Simple

Before CNN starts politicizing the horrific and senseless slaughter of the 10 people gunned down by a mass shooter at a Boulder, Colorado, supermarket Monday afternoon, let’s remember to pray for this hero cop, Eric Talley, who was killed doing what good cops do: trying to save the lives of others.

Talley was a veteran cop, a traditional Latin Mass Catholic and father of seven children. By all accounts, he represented the very best of our country and the men and women on the front lines of a chaotic culture war that can only get worse so long as we as a nation refuse to turn back to God.

There are simply not enough good cops like Officer Talley to protect us from ourselves once we decide that God’s law no longer matters.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest…
