(Foundation for Economic Education) – A newly published medical study found that infection from COVID-19 confers considerably longer-lasting and stronger protection against the Delta variant of the virus than vaccines.
“The natural immune protection that develops after a SARS-CoV-2 infection offers considerably more of a shield against the Delta variant of the pandemic coronavirus than two doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, according to a large Israeli study that some scientists wish came with a ‘Don’t try this at home’ label,” Science reported Thursday. “The newly released data show people who once had a SARS-CoV-2 infection were much less likely than vaccinated people to get Delta, develop symptoms from it, or become hospitalized with serious COVID-19.”
Put another way, vaccinated individuals were 27 times more likely to get a symptomatic COVID infection than those with natural immunity from COVID.
A death blow to vaccine passports?
The findings come as many governments around the world are demanding citizens acquire “vaccine passports” to travel. New York City, France, and the Canadian provinces of Quebec and British Columbia are among those who have recently embraced vaccine passports.
Meanwhile, Australia has floated the idea of making higher vaccination rates a condition of lifting its lockdown in jurisdictions, while President Joe Biden is considering making interstate travel unlawful for people who have not been vaccinated for COVID-19.
Vaccine passports are morally dubious for many reasons, not the least of which is that freedom of movement is a basic human right. However, vaccine passports become even more senseless in light of the new findings out of Israel and revelations from the CDC, some say.
Harvard Medical School professor Martin Kulldorff said research showing that natural immunity offers exponentially more protection than vaccines means vaccine passports are both unscientific and discriminatory, since they disproportionately affect working class individuals.
“Prior COVID disease (many working class) provides better immunity than vaccines (many professionals), so vaccine mandates are not only scientific nonsense, they are also discriminatory and unethical,” Kulldorff, a biostatistician and epidemiologist, observed on Twitter.

Yes Chen! It must be so difficult for good healthcare professionals to witness and be directly involved in what has happened tour world because of some extremely devious and nefarious twisted people with sinister agendas!
Most laypersons have been in the dark but o have knowledge and insight which allows one to see more factually what is happening has got to be painful! I’ve been so upset and I’m divorced from the hands on reality of not just knowing what the truth is but having to stare at it day in and day out, I wouldn’t be able to tolerate such a constant dilemma; of that I’m absolutely positive, knowing myself as I do!

On an unrelated note, were most of your teachers Irish priests or is your mother Irish? Your writing sounds more Irish than Italian. You’ve Irish influence from somewhere. Maybe favorite authors? Grew up in an Irish neighborhood? I know that there are lots of Irish priests in the United States.

Any you’re welcome! GITMO is too good, but, in my way of thinking this over, I see them as not suitable for any earthly institution of any kind! And they need to move on quickly as John Walsh of America’s Most Wanted said once said to Msgr. Lasante of New York during an interview about psychopathic killers; how “they need to go on to the next level where God will deal with them!” This is certainly one of those situations that qualify in my humble opinion!!! I did work on an episode of AMW once and have many Irish cousins and blood in the immediate family tree. So I take the query as a compliment!
Yes, priests and doctors have been in my life, that are full blooded Irish too! I like Irish folks for the most part and love the accent of the native people, as well as Scottish, which are in the family lineage also! Met a really sweet Scottish gal Angela many years ago, who was working for a wealthy family as an Au Pair who had just come over from Scotland and really liked me a lot, but, being a bit too young and not so wise as I thought; I may have messed up not really giving that a longer chance! Because she would be a great wife and friend as I see her now!
I didn’t always make the right move at the right time, maybe indecisive or maybe timid of deep commitment and probably both! Divorce really scared me!
