Mom who took her child into Capitol during riot gets prison

A North Carolina woman who brought her 14-year-old son into the U.S. Capitol during last year’s riot was sentenced Friday to three months imprisonment.
U.S. District Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly said she finds it “very hard to comprehend” why Virginia Marie Spencer and her husband took their child into the building during a violent insurrection. Spencer’s husband, Christopher Raphael Spencer, also was arrested. He has pleaded not guilty to riot-related charges.
“It must have been a traumatic experience to witness this kind of violence,” the judge said. “It’s a complete lack of judgment on your part.”
Spencer must report to prison to begin serving her 90-day sentence by Feb. 25. The judge also sentenced her to three years of probation.
Spencer and her husband pressed forward toward the Capitol building with their 14-year-old son “in tow” despite seeing police shooting tear gas on the crowd, a federal prosecutor wrote in a court filing. The Spencers joined other rioters who overwhelmed a line of police officers, invaded House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s office suite and demanded entry to the House chamber, the filing says.
Virginia Spencer pleaded guilty in September to parading, demonstrating or picketing in a Capitol building, a misdemeanor punishable by a maximum of 6 months imprisonment.
Prosecutors recommended a sentence of three months of incarceration, three years of probation and $500 for restitution. Her defense attorney, Allen Orenberg, asked for a sentence of one year of probation with community service.
More than 700 people have been charged with federal crimes related to the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol. Over 170 of them have pleaded guilty, mostly to misdemeanor charges. Spencer was at least the 75th riot defendant to be sentenced.
Spencer, a mother of five from Pilot Mountain who works as a restaurant cashier, was arrested in Durham, North Carolina, in February.
On Jan. 6, 2021, the Spencers and their son walked to the Capitol behind a group of members of the far-right Proud Boys. The couple briefly stopped to scream profanities at a counter-protester, according to prosecutors.
Inside the Capitol, Christopher Spencer filmed a Facebook Live video as he and his wife briefly entered Pelosi’s office suite, prosecutors said.
“Of note, Speaker Pelosi had staff members who were trapped inside that suite as the rioters called for Speaker Pelosi steps away from them,” a prosecutor wrote.
Virginia Spencer later joined a group of rioters who were chanting “Stop the steal!” and “Break it down!” outside the House Chamber door, although prosecutors say she wasn’t vocal or at the front of that crowd.
The Spencers spent more than 30 minutes inside the Capitol before leaving.
Spencer’s lawyer says she “ate up” media coverage of protests that erupted across the country in the summer of 2020 after a white police officer killed a black man, George Floyd, in Minneapolis.
“After months of watching our major cities burn, many people became convinced that vocal displays of outrage in the form of protesting was the only way to make their voices heard,” Orenberg wrote in a court filing.
Spencer also believed Donald Trump’s lie that the 2020 presidential election was stolen from him, her attorney said.
“Mrs. Spencer did not come to Washington, D.C., with the intention of subverting democracy,” Orenberg wrote. She came “to peacefully protest what she believed at that time to be a fraudulent election.”
A prosecutor said Virginia Spencer “felt she was embarking on a noble endeavor as a representative of the citizenry.”
“She could not have been more wrong,” the prosecutor wrote.

What an awesome Pooch! Never met a dog I didn’t like or that didn’t take to me immediately, I kid you not; now people that is a way different story, go figure!
Then again there ain’t much to figure, more people that not are too damned selfish or self-serving, but, the “Man’s Best Friend” only wants to serve and be loved! People are too complicated and not worth it; I’ll take the doggies over them human Mutts to keep my stress level down anytime!
By a God Send the dog I have now the last of 5 that I had all at once for a short time all rescues, until one passed and then another over time until just me and this last of my best buds is here with, yours truly!
She was one that was blessed by a God Send, also as the others were, but in her case for me to hear some howling at a shelter nearby where I had been earlier in the day hooking up a trailer to semi-tractor! Just by that howl it was like a news flash told me to check that out later in the day when I finished with work, which I did! And so this best friend I have now who was scheduled to be terminated as an unadoptable dog; even by an animal behaviorist, the very next day before the shelter opened would be dead! But she is now many years later here on earth with me; because she got a rescinded kill order which was never done at the shelter! The decision to euthanize is a multiple sign-off that people would need to be bothered after hours which is unheard of, especially a high raking police department official who has the final say and must approve this never done before reversal before 6 am the following day and it was already after work hours! But because the woman knew me over some years and how I picked up dogs off the street that were in harm’s way or trouble; she did what I asked, to please try as hard as you can, and so, when I told her make it happen I will be here first thing in the morning to take this dog home she knew I wasn’t the weakest link in any act of clemency for the dog!
God bless all the dogs locked in some kennel with no human being out of all the selfish ones that are out there that won’t give them a chance because those people have better things to do living like gluttons!

Trump Fires Back After Biden Exploits Jan. 6 In Cowardly Speech
It’s been a year since Democrats stole an entire presidential election and the country is still in shambles as a result.
The events that occurred on Jan. 6 will forever be tainted with the grubby hands of Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and the radical Democrat Party who now cynically exploit the protest to publicize and fundraise for their corrupt far-left agenda.
Trump supporters have been imprisoned without due process and are currently being held in D.C.’s version of Guantanamo Bay.
Meanwhile, no one seems to remember how Capitol Police allowed disgruntled protestors to pass through security gates, nor are they willing to admit ordering National Guard troops to stand down.
Now, in 2021, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are weaponizing the Jan. 6 in an effort to put a dent in Trump’s rising popularity and their immense fall from grace.
The cognitively deficient president delivered what will go down in history as the most cowardly speech by a U.S. president.
Instead of calling Trump out by name, which would be understandable given the nature of politics, Joe Biden referred to the “former president” more than a dozen times. Instead, he called him a “defeated former president” who “spread a web of lies about the 2020 election.”
Very original.
Biden is desperate to slow the moving train of the “former president’s” growing popularity as Democrats fail to resonate with most Americans before the ’22 midterm elections and the ’24 presidential election.
“He values power over principle because he sees his own interests as more important than his country’s interest and America’s interest,” the president said. “Because his bruised ego matters more to him than our democracy or our Constitution,” Biden said.
Trump had originally planned a dueling press conference on Jan. 6 only later to cancel due to growing tyranny of Nancy Pelosi’s witch hunt committee.
However, that doesn’t mean Trump hung back silently and allowed the likes of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris to speak ill of his name in ways that were categorically untrue and immensely divisive.
The Former President released a series of statements highlight each and every failure which now define the Biden-Harris administration.
“Due to inept leadership that gave us open borders, COVID incompetence, loss of energy independence, a military in chaos, rampant inflation, corrupt elections, and lack of world standing, our Nation, perhaps for the first time, has lost its confidence,” he wrote.
In his first statement, Trump urged the American people never to “forget the crimes of the 2020 presidential election.”
Later, during the heart of Biden’s speech, Trump took the opportunity to remind Americans of just how badly we are as a result of the current administration’s failed policies.

On Calvary I see how by that best of all examples as our Lord was actually here and finalizing His new and everlasting covenant on that cross, so the despots or fools who lived in sin were being crucified along each side of him but the one that had been cold to seeking our heavenly Father, seeing Jesus the Savior, had his own great epiphany talking to Jesus as they were dying and became hot for truth, and through his humble contrite heart at that juncture, he was saved as Jesus told him, “Verily I say to you today, you will be in paradise with Me.” I feel it’s pretty obvious we must be close to the end time and hopefully more people are going to awaken before it’s too late! Thanks for the positive knowledge! Been doing this and no masks since Spring of 2020. I had an industrial chemical injury to my lungs years back and weaned off of meds and antibiotics feeling better than in years while using all naturalistic approach to health! It works for me as I’m meds free and doing better than many people half my age! Use your heads folks and live right. Don’t abuse your bodies and health; making sure you eat the right things to keep that immune system powerful that God blessed us with! Amen.
An herbal tea I like is Green tea then I add fresh grated ginger root, half a fresh lemon with pulp, raw honey, cayenne pepper and it you hate such a bitter strong taste add some favorite fruit juice when ready to drink it. I add all the ingredients in a big mug then pour in the brewed tea so as not to cook those powerful components keeping them potent; really kicks the immune system into play during the winter months especially good! Keep your gut health strong; the key to excellent health.

I am also trying to hammer together a post on Jay Pritzker, governor of Illinois. As he is rather a large man, and there is an awful lot of stuff on the internet about him, or a lot of awful stuff on the internet about him, this is a bit of a struggle.
To be honest, you could write a book about him. Then throw it at him. This would hopefully knock him senseless as it would be extremely heavy, and you could then chain him up for life.
Anyway, I thought I would do a small post to fill the gap for the starving masses (!) by producing a snack which will hopefully be of use. A healing…
